The screaming sea of people were echoing throughout the venue. Distinguishing one face from another would be difficult, and picking one person out of over 200,000 would be impossible.
There she stood, right where he could see her. Her long hair was gently blowing in the breeze, her eyes shining brightly as she smiled back at him. She was wearing a white spagetti strap top and ripped-at-the-knee denim jeans. One would think it would be hard to keep track of someone who blended in so much, but he never once took his eyes off of her. This was definitely the concert of a lifetime, because the girl of his dreams was right in front of him, and his band was finally playing as headliners at Woodstock. . .
"Ry?. . .Ry. Ryan!" yelled Dan.
"Huh? What? Huh?" he replied in distortion.
"Dude, you were talking in your sleep again," said Dan. Ryan looked around himself and saw that he wasn't at Woodstock. Rather, he was in his bunk on the tour bus.
"Awww man," he groaned, then rolled back over on his stomach and clutched his pillow. "Dan why'd you wake me up? I was having a damn good dream."
"Ryan, you were singing. It's bad enough hearing 'Mistake' every day on MuchMusic, not to mention the radio. It's even worse hearing you sing it in your sleep, cuz man it sucks!" Ryan gave Dan a soft punch in the arm and Dan proceeded to laugh at him. "What were you dreaming about anyways?"
Ryan sighed, and rolled over once again, this time onto his back. "We were playing Woodstock. Headlining. Right up there with KoRn and Limp Bizkit and silverchair. And Dan, there was this girl. . ."
"You could pick one girl out of thousands and not lose her?"
"I know! But. . .she was incredible. I'm telling you Dan, this was the girl of my dreams."
"Gee Ry, imagine that," said Dan to his obviously lovesick friend,"finding the girl of your dreams, in your dreams. That's pure genius man! I'm going back to sleep right now so I can meet Jennifer Lopez." Ryan grabbed a pillow and hurled it at Dan's head.
"Dan you're such a freak."
"Body and soul, I'm a freak. I'm a freak," he sang one of the lines from "Freak" by silverchair. Ryan laughed at his friend's humor. He sighed, shook his head, and then went back to sleep in hopes of finishing his interrupted dream. Just one of the many occurances on the bus of a band featuring Ryan Dennis, Dan Stadnicki, Ryan "Stever", and Jon Davidson; a band called Serial Joe.
