Combat and Missions
Inside this sim the way missions and combat is fought is in ICQ chats. There is for now, no other way to do this. So i'm sorry if you don't have ICQ but get it (it's only 5mb) and well worth it.
Anyway, combat is worked out in different ways, but before i tell you that i'll explain stats. Stats are basically all your infomation about your character and how you get stronger. I'll explain this in a step by step now.
Level: What level your character is ranging from 1-100. Each time you "level up" you may add 2 stats to your profile, eg.+1 to strength and +1 to stamina, or increase you hp by 10. Hp and Mp is also naturally increased from level to level by 15%.
Hp: Your hit points, which dictates how much health you have left, obviously when you run out of Hp your dead and have to be revived.
Mp: Your magic points, this tells you how much magic you can cast. E.g. if i wanted to cast bolt1 it would take 4mp from it.
Strength: Your attack power, this is very important as the more strength the higher the damage. The way to work out damage is
Strength X Atk power of weapon
Minus
Enemies stamina X Def of Enemies armor
=The amount taken from Hp
Stamina: Your defense, this is used to work out how much damage you can take without being harmed. The way to work this out is:
Enemies Strength X Enemies Atk power of weapon
Minus
Your stamina X Def of your armor
Evade: What chance you have to evade
M.Strength: Your magic strength when used with materia. The way to work this out is to do:
M.Strength X Materia Strength
Minus
Enemies M.Stamina X Enemies Armor Magic Def
M.Stamina: Your Magic defense, the way to work this out is to do:
Enemies M.Strength X Enemies Materia Strength
Minus
M.Stamina X Armor Magic Def
M.evade: The chance you evade magic attacks
Speed: Very important, the higher the speed the faster you attack, because the fastest person in a battle goes first, e.g if you have a person with speed of 10 and one with a speed of 6 the the speed 10 goes first and gets 2 turns ahead of the other person because he is 4 faster and for every 2 points of speed faster you get 1 extra turn.
Now, evade and M.Evade is not really used yet, but later i might develop a system for it.
Please ask any questions you want, don't be shy, i'd rather have 10 questions asked about something then start to get weird things happening because people don't know the rules.
Missions:
Well, missions are the main part of the sim, there will be only me as a mod to start with, and then expanding to more and more, and all presidents and vice-presidents will be mods, but not updaters. They are 2 different things, I could have a Vice president mod but a level 1 avalanche member as my updater. I'll quickly explain what should be done after missions and before for mods and everyone else to see
Mods:
Before mission:
Stats should be gathered together, and a story line thought out, make it intresting please. Everyone should be clear on who's going, and who the mod is. People may watch (max of 2) but may not say anything. If they are the participents may send me a message telling me and i will deal with them. Also people may chat before hand, but when the mission starts mark it with a *Mission*.
Inside the mission:
There should be clear definitions of when someone is taking in character, thinking to himself/herself and when talking out of character.
here are some easy examples
In character orders/talking: Nothing needed
In character thinking: *hmmm... this is good*
Out of Character (OOC): (what is my Hp)
these are just examples but they may be changed.
After the mission: Should be finished with a *Mission Complete* to symbolise the end.
Then exp and gil may be given out, as well as items, as well as comments at the end, also someone must be nominated as the one to send me the report of exp and gil. No mod may mod and fight at the same time, unless i say.
Only so much exp and gil may be given out, until i state otherwise (obviously a level 35 person is not gonna benifit from 2,000exp) but until i say the missions must be no more than 3,000exp or 4,500 for a hard mission but i will check all missions above 3,000exp. And no more than 2,500 gil may be given out. Also do not give constant 3,000exp missions or i will be very annoyed at you.
Once the mission is finished 1 person email me the report of:
Who was in it,
Who was the mod,
How much exp and gil,
How many items,
any special extra's eg. if it was a soldier missions.
More will be added to this later
All questions should be emailed to me or sent by ICQ or posted on the Questions board
