Allies of X-Force

The following are a list of characters who've pulled X-Force out of a jam one time or another. Enjoy!

Lila Cheney

Lila met up with the team just after the mutant epic saga "The X-Cutioners Song". She knew them through Sam, with whom she had a brief relationship prior. She hooked up with X-Force when they left house arrest at the X-Mansion. She decided to help the guys out by acting as a temporary teleporter (which just happens to be her mutant powers), untill they got back on their feet...the team had suffered a loss at the time when Cable had died. Probably the best adventure told with her on the team, was the assault on Greymalkin, a space station orbiting Earth which was Cables home for a time. X-Force went there to bring back anything that Cable had owned, but were met by a strike team from SHIELD who wanted the technology that Greymalkin had...the farce ended with X-Force retrieving alot of Cables armory, and the self-destruction of Greymalkin. When they returned home, Lila decided to leave the team. For not only personal reasons, but also to avoid a law suit from her record company. (shes also a musician).

I've seen her in much more than just X-Force, she's made it a habbit to help out the X-teams whenever nessesary, and also to use her popularity for the betterment of mutantkind.

Tempo

Tempo was a member of the arch vials of X-Force, the Mutant Liberation Front (MLF). But out off all the members of the MLF, Tempo was the one who actually had a conscience. I don't ever believe that she ever truely agreed with the destructive ideas of their leader Stryfe. I think she only joined for the same reason most of them did, to see some action and use her powers in whatever manner she wanted. The MLF finally met its end when they fell in battle against the X-Men. The members that were still alive were either deported to their home countries, or put in a secure prison. After a few months of imprisonment, 4 members of the MLF were broken out of confinment by the villian Reignfire, Tempo just happened to be one of them. Reignfire assumed control of the MLF, and launched another failed plan for human destruction. their plan was to kidnap national security advisor Henry Peter Gyrich, but I guess they didnt count on X-Force showing up. During the recon-op to get him back, X-Force member Feral came to the desion of turning her back on her team and killing Gyrich for herself...but luckily Tempo was there to stop her, and in doing so turned against her freinds in the MLF to help out X-Force defaet Reignfire. The mission ended up with a loss of 2 team members for X-Force, I thought this would have led to Tempo joining up with X-Force, but she decided that maybe fighting for Xaviers dream was not in her best intrests and declined Cables offer to join the team.

Adam X

I've heard rumors on other websites that his guy might be the third Summers brother, a lost relative to both Cyclops and Havok. I personally don't know what this is all about because I don't read X-Men anymore. In any matter, Adam X has been an ally of X-Force since their first encounter. Adam used to work for this guy named Tom Strong. Strong was a scientist who was working to find a way to surpress the DNA gene that turned humans into mutants, to do so he needed mutant victims, which is where Adam comes in. Adam was to work for Strong, doing what he said, and Strong in turn would tell Adam about his origin (Adam's an amnesiac). When he crossed X-Force's path, they were able to turn Admas mind into fighting against Strong, and in turn rescue a team member that Strong had in captivity (Feral).

Adam once again came into the spotlight of X-Force when he was lured again into working for the wrong guy, this time it was Arcade, who had also kidnapped Shatterstar and forced both Shatty and Adam to fight to the death. They eventualy mended their errors and set off to kill Arcade (in which they failed).

Spider-Man

I won't spend much time talking about this guy, because I mean, who really doesn't know the origin of Spider-Man anyways. But as in relation to X-Force, Spider-Man swung in on the scene of the famous World trade center kidnapping. You know, the one that branded X-Force as national outlaws...anyways, The deadly duo of Black Tom Cassidy and Juggernaut had the trade center layered in explosive plastique, as well as several hostages that are infamous in the world of business, as well as an enormous bank account. X-Force showed up first, and as usual had everything under control, that is until Tom blew up the top 5 floors of the building. Then onto the scene came the webhaed himself, Spider-man. Which was good because it looked like X-Force couldn't beat Juggernaut without him.

Impossible Man

Remember the old villians in the golden age of comics? Ones like Starro, Queen Bee, Collosal Boy,...and many others that appeared in DC's action comics through the 40's and 50's and were incredably stupid? Well, incredible as it seems, Marvel made a few of there own in the 60's as well, and one even made it tnto the X-Men comics.

The Impossible Man (from what I've heard) is a very powerful guy. Has godlike abilities, and powers...as does everyone else who comes from another planet in comics. I'm not sure when he last came into comics before this, but he came to Earth one day to seek the aid of X-Force. He seems to think that Cable and X-Force are the only beings in the universe that can teech his children how to behave. X-Force immidatly ignored the problem, even when the impoosible kids came onto the scene. But when an ancient mosnster appeared, and swallowed all of X-Forces members, Cable was able to motivate them into using their combined efforts to destroy the monster, and retrieve X-Force. I know this story sounds incredably stupid, but give it a try, I like it. I mean, if the impossible man and his children wern't there that day, X-Force would have been digested.

Longshot

Longshot once had the most coveted title of all the superheros in the comic book world, he used to be an X-Man. Created in the dimension known as Mojoworld, Longshot led the slave rebelion against the spineless ones, and their leader Mojo on his homeworld (sound familier?). He came to Earth seeking the help of the X-Men, joined up with them, had a few adventures, then returned home to defeat Mojo. But although he was fortunate enough to be an X-Man, he was also unluky enough to be involved with the worst story X-Force ever took part in...The origin of Shatterstar. One day, while trying to find out why Shatterstar had two different personalities in his mind, X-Force was attacked by two of Mojo's dogsoldiers. They took both Shatterstar and Cable with them back to Mojoworld, but X-Force was able to go after them witht he help of Longshot. The mission ended with a happy ending, but the results of that were incredably disappointing when X-Force finally discovers the truth about Shatterstar.
