This is where Tibetans perform their rituals of appeasement and atonement tto the protecting dieties and guardian gods. It lies below the residence of His Holliness of Dalai Lama on the Linkhor (Holy circuit) foot path. Stay till the end of a ceremony, and you may find yourself enveloped in a white cloud of tsampa(barley flour) which Tibetans throw in the air as offering.
