gaden choeling nunnery Gaden Choling Nunnery, near Yongluing School, on Jogiwara Road, was started in 1973 by two devoted nuns, Nawang Choezin and Nawang Peldon. Beginning with only 12 nuns, the present strength of the nunery consist of meditation, prayer and debate, the readind of scriptures, the performance of religious ceremonies and the training of young nuns.
