LA. County's Best Bird

     Some of us remember California Classic. So when Johnny Red came to me with the idea of the LA. County's Best Bird fly. I asked "how will This contest be judged?" He said he would like a kit of 23 birds but was only able to get 22. Every First and third Sunday of each month the kit will be judged for the best three birds. First place bird gets 3 points, second place 2 points and third place 1 point. The birds must kit and roll from the kit. As time goes on some birds will get better and begin to score moving the early starters down. But who know what will happen by the end of the flies. Johnny Red's training has improved over the years and the kit is looking good. May 6 was the last day to replace lost birds so they could not be in the first judging fly. On the second fly 20 birds were flown. Here are the scores of the  flies.
