Calgary - The Canadian Hockey Association named 40 players that will attend Canada’s National Junior Team’s Evaluation Camp in Calgary, Alberta at the Father David Bauer Arena from August 3-10, 2000. The 2001 World Junior Hockey Championship will be held in Russia from December 26th, 2000 to January 5th, 2001.
Thirty-seven of the players come from the Canadian Hockey League, Canada’s premier junior hockey league. There are 17 players from the Western Hockey League, fifteen from the Ontario Hockey League and five from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
