How to make your next tryout

Alot of girls, even myself, sometimes have difficulty with softball tryouts. Or any tryout. Even if your no where near as good as the other players, You can still get highly recognized by the coach.I admit I've had some awful tryouts, where I went there totally unprepared physically and mentally. But in order to make the teams you want to be on, you have to be prepared.
Rule #1 in making a tryout is to hussle hussle hussle! No matter how bad you do, how many balls you miss, how many times you strike out, If you show the coach you are willing to hussle and try your very best, they might just take you for the heart you put into the game.
Rule #2 Get your self prepared even up to a month earlier before a tryout. If it's a state team or a really good team, run everyday. Or go to the batting cages. If you cant get to the batting cages either do dry swings, or get your parents to buy you one of the tee's where the ball bounces back.Do everything you can to better yourself as an indiviual softball player, even after you make the team run and throw and swing everyday!
Next step, get yourself mentally prepared.Imagine yourself doing well at the tryouts and getting good hits and fielding well.Just imagine doing everything good! The night before a tryout, think about how your going to address the situation comming before you. The day of the tryout, get yourself so focused on the game and what your doing you cant think of anything else. Eat a good breakfast, not too heavy and just go do the best that you can.
Dive for balls if they are out of your reach, or move to them. Do not expect the ball to come straight to you. Work on your mechanics over and over until it's natural.
If you hussle your butt off and show the coach you are dedicated to making the team, and you give all your efforts, and do the very best that you can, you will make the team.Another note for younger players is to not be afraid of the ball. The first time you get hit in the face should be the last time you are afraid of it. Sure it hurts, but it will go away, all you'll remember is making a great play if you stayed with it.And remeber..."Pain is temporary,Pride is forever".
