The rain has finally stopped. BloodWrath does has
not seen rain or sun in months. He sits in his dark
cell. He begins to wonder what really happend that
day he killed Icicle.
BloodWrath: "Did I kill her or not? If
she is still alive, where is she? Did someone save
her? I can be let out of here if she is alive. Who
would go through the trouble of framing me? I am
not an important person. I guess I will have to let
the Star Souls figure this one out for me."
{Meanwhile, at the Star Soul Base.}
TazSpice: "I think it's a great idea. LadyUtopia had little trouble finding us. I thnk we should find a more secretive base. I love my wherehouse. I think we could use a bigger place."
Haven: "You are right. We do need a bigger place. Anyone know where we might be able to relocate to?"
Lugnut: "What about those unused subway tunnels? I heard nobody dares to go down there."
Prizmix: "I guess you have been doing your homework. I didn't even know about those."
Lugnut: "I have grown to love this city. I want to know everything about it. I read an article about those tunnels. It was a big thing. They never completed the subway system. It cost too much. So all they did was create the B.A.R.T."
TazSpice: "Sounds like it would be a perfect place for us. I know I don't have a Soul Power, but, I feel part of the team."
LaugWave: "You are part of the team. You are a technical genius. The comlinks you created come in very handy. You have done plenty for us."
TazSpice: "I know. I just sometimes wish I could fight with you guys."
LadyUtopia: "Here's an idea, TazSpice. Why don't you make yourself some gadgets like Batman?"
TazSpice: "Batman? I could just see me. I guess that's not a bad idea. Who's to say what I can create?"
Masquerade: "Well, you all decide on where we are going to go move to. I am going to go visit Andrew."
Mantrix: "I have a date with Iris. I think she is falling for me."
Prizmix: "You and that woman are still talking? I thought she would have come to her senses by now. Does she even care about your powers?"
Mantrix: "Shut up man. You are just jealous. I haven't had a serious relationship in a long time. A man has needs."
Haven: "I would like to meet this woman someday. I think you should be careful."
Lugnut: "Hey! Weren't we deciding on a new place to relocate the base?
PoleRider: "These people get distracted easily, Lugnut."
Haven: "Okay, okay. It is decided then. TazSpice and LaughWave will check the out tunnels for us. Masquerade.. Mantrix.. Enjoy your time away. Moving day will be soon."
Masquerade: "I'll let you all know how he's doing."
Haven: "Okay. Enjoy your visit."
{Masqueade heads to St. Mary's Hospital. LaughWave and TazSpice go to check out the tunnels. Mantrix goes to join his date, Iris J. Hunt.}
Masquerade: "Dr. Chavez... How is my son doing?"
Dr.Chavez: "Why don't you ask him yourself?"
Masquerade: "He's awake? When did tis happen?"
Dr.Chavez: "About five minutes ago. We called and left a message on your answering machine. Don't keep him waiting. Go see him."
Masquerade: "Thank you!"
Andrew: "Dad? Is that you?"
Masquerade: "Yeah Andy! It's daddy! It's a miracle. How do you feel? I can't believe it! The sound of your voice is bringing me to tears."
Andrew: "Geeze dad. You act like I was never going to get better."
Maaquerade: "I never gave up on you. I knew you would fight this disease. Your my boy! Always! Give your old man a hug! I love you son!"
Andrew: "I love you too dad! So how long have we been here in San Francisco?"
Masquerade: "I can't even remember. It's been so long. I have so much to tell you. I know I can' take you home yet. I just want to hug you and never let go."
Andrew: "I know. I can't wait til I can get out of here and eat some real food. I won' miss being fed through a tube through my nose. I want a Happy Meal."
{Andrew is finally out of his coma. Masquerade and his son spend all day together. Mantrix has a surprise in store for him.}
Mantix: "I hope I didn't make you wait too long for me. I really love this Cafe'."
Iris: "I just got here. I knew you'd like it."
Mantrix: "I really want us to get to know each other better. I want to know more about you."
Iris: "I want to know more about you too. You have treated me so great. No other man has shown me the respect you have. It almost kills me to have to do this to you."
Mantrix: "Do what? I thought you cared about me? Are you dumping me?"
Iris: "Believe me. It's safer for you! I'm sorry! I didn't want to do this! I wasn't supposed to fall in love with you!"
Mantrix: "What in the world are you talking about? Supposed to not fall in love with me? Tell me what is going on, Iris!"
Iris: "My name isn't Iris. My name is April. April DeCosta. You know me better as Charade!"
Mantrix: "Charade!?!"
Charade: "I was supposed to work my way into your base. Sabotage. I couldn't do it! I am in love with you, Mantrix. I couldn't help it."
Mantrix: "So then you lied to me. All those things you told me were lies!"
Charade: "At first. Not anymore. If I didn't love you, I would have carried out my mission. Do you know what I've done to myself? DarkMind will have me destroyed if he finds out!"
Mantrix: "How ironic. I was April's fool. I don't know what to say to you. I need time to think. You have really hurt me. I really loved you. I... I... I need to go. Stay out of trouble."
Charade: "Please don't go! We need to talk. I am in love with you! Don't leave me here. I have to find a place to hide from the Necro Souls!"
Mantix: "You should have just carried out your mission. The next time we meet will probably be in battle. I don't know what will happen."
Charade: "DarkMind will know I told you. I don't think he will allow me to live! I betrayed him."
Mantrix: "Betrayed him? What about me?"
Charade: "That was business! This is us! I don't want to lose you!"
Mantrix: "Here is a newsflash, April. There is no "us". Does your heart shift change the way you do? How do you expect me to believe anything you say to me?"
Charade: "That's not fair! I told you about my mission! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'll let you go. I'm not going to cry. I know I hurt you. For that I'm sorry. I'm not sorry I fell in love with you. I'll have to lie to DarkMind."
Mantrix: "I'm sorry I can't help you with DarkMind. I guess this is good-bye."
Charade: "Yeah it is. Good-bye.... "
{Mantrix walks home instead of taking the bus. He is emotionally confused now. He still loves Charade. She's the enemy though. He arrives in time for dinner.}
PoleRider: "Welcome home! Good news, Mantrix! Andrew came out of his coma! Isn't that great? Why the long face?"
Mantrix: "Iris and I broke it off. I'm not hungry. I'll be in my quarters. Good night everyone. Give Andrew my love."
Prizmix: "Sucks to be Mantrix right now. I guess she finally came to her senses."
SnapShot: "That's not funny, Prizmix!"
Prizmix: "I know. My bad!"
LaughWave: "I will wait to tell him about our moving to the tunnels."
Haven: "Love is blind. By the way, I'm Pregnant!"
Group: "WHAT?!?!?!"
Haven: "April Fools! HaHaHaHa!"
The man that will be known only as SoulSlayer
arrives in Fresno, California. His hunt for the
Souls of Power has begun. His heart is filled with
