"Hey Angie." I said.
"Hey Homie." Angie said back.
"And who taught you that?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Kevvy Kev and D."
"You guys! How am I going to explain this to Busy?"
"Who's Busy?" Howie asked
"One of my sisters many nick-names." I said
"There's more of them?" Kevin asked
"Yea, I would tell you them, but little ears are present." I said,
sitting down at a table.
"Hey LO, how old are you?" Kevin asked
"A year younger than Steph."
"How old is Steph?"
"Four years older than Jenny."
"How old is Jenny?"
"Jenny Bear is twenty. Makes Steph twenty-four, which makes me
twenty-three."
"Oh. Hey, we're stopping in Columbus."
"Neat-o, I'll have to show you the home town." I walked off singing
"B-o-b-c-a-t-s, we are the bobcats, oh yes, and we are the best! GO CATS!"
"LO shut up!" Steph yelled. She hated it when I went into my little
cheerleader act.
"Sitting on the porch step, waitin for some boys. Come on girls lets make
some noise. Fire-cracker Fire-cracker Boom Boom Boom! Fire-cracker
Fire-cracker Boom Boom Boom! The boys got the muscles, the teachers got the
brains, the girls got the sexy legs and we won the game!"
"LO!"
"Oh Steph, you'll like this one. Ready? OK. Totally for sure! I think I
need a manicure! The sun! I swear! Is bleaching out my hair. Twenty-four,
Thirty-four. I don't even know the score! But go go fight fight! Do you
think I look all right?"
"LOoOoOoO!"
"I'm done... NOT!"
"NO!"
"L-e-t-s g-o lets go lets go! L-e-t-s g-o lets go cats!"
"Where did you learn all those?" AJ asked, trying to make me stop.
"I lived across the street from a cheerleader. I could go on and on." I
said
"Please don't."
"Hey Howie!"
"Hey what?"
"When we goin' to Columbus?"
"Two weeks."
"OKEY DOKEY!"
"Someone sounds happy." Brian said.
"I am, I get off this hell hole tomorrow, I'm gonna be home in two weeks,
and I love what I do!" An hour later that wasn't the case.
"AUNT WARWA! I'm bored!" Angie yelled.
"You guys, we have to stop. This kid is gonna kill me!" I yelled I walked
up to the driver. "'Scuse me sir. Is there a rest stop near here?"
"Yea, there's one about five minutes away. Has a park in it too." The
driver said, flashing me a smile
"Oh if you stop at it you will be my God!" I said.
"Of course I'll stop."
"Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!" I said.
"No problem."
I walked back to the back. "Stop in five minutes." I yelled. Five
minutes later I was running around the park with Angie and Patch at my heels.
"LO! Hold up!" I heard AJ yell
"Catch me if you can!" I said, picking up my pace.
"LO!" I heard him yell again. I stopped on a small bridge that was built
over a stream.
