"Nora!" cried Nick as he walked into the house they shared, "Nora, honey, it's me! I'm back!"
"Oh Nick!" a voice came, as a pretty brunette in jeans and a tank top burst through the patio door, and ran into his arms, "It's been such a long time! How was your trip?"
"It was great! I couldn't keep my mind off you.. I miss you so much! The whole time, all I could think about was coming back and spending this time with you!" her face fell, "How long will you be here, 'this' time?"
He held her close, "Don't be like that, hon, it won't be long, but I'll have a longer break soon, It's the business, baby, you know how it has to be..."
"How long, Nick!?" she cried, pulling away from him, "We've been postponing this wedding for over a year, do you even care any more! Do you! It feels like you don't, oh, you're never here!"
"Nora.. I've just gotten back, let's not argue about this, all right, sweetie?" he said in a soothing voice, trying to calm his fiancee, "Let's not argue, not tonight... all right?"
"Whatever." she muttered, turning and walking away, her long dark hair tumbling down her shoulders in waves.
