NEW WAMPA AND CAVE SCENES
A small scene in the original Star Wars Trilogy was when
Luke and his Tauntaun were attacked by a giant white animal
called a wampa. These animals are massive, brutal, and feared.
But it was never showed. Only the arm and a little puppet
head.
But Lucas wanted more. He wanted the scene to be more suspensful,
so he added an additional scene of Luke waking up and seeing the
wampa gulping down the remains of his tauntaun. It shows the
wampa standing up and walking toward him. It shows more, so the
audience can realize the fear this animal causes.
And, a rumor I heard, that this scene was made to hide the
results of a car accident that Mark Hamill was in.
