Still horrified, Ann scrambled to her feet and urged Damon and Leigh to run to the forest.  But right as they came to the edge, the white dragon landed in front of them. 

 

    Before she knew what was happening, Ann passed out.

 

    "Ann...Ann, are you okay?", Ann heard a voice whispering to her and opened her eyes.

 

    "Oh Ann, you mustn't do that to me!", scolded Damon with worried eyes.

 

    "I'm sorry Damon", she whispered while kissing his cheek.  Suddenly she noticed the huge white figure behind them and hurried to her feet.

 

    "Please," said a low voice coming from the dragon,"I did not mean to frighten you.  I only stoped to tell you of the horrible dangers in this forest."

 

    Feeling very awkward, and very surprised, Ann opened her mouth to ask the dragon a question.  But before she got anything out, the dragon asnswered,"I know what you're thinking.  I'm not like most dragons.  As you can see, I'm completely white, and I will not harm you.  My name is Dmetri, a spirit dragon from the mountains."

 

    Feeling reassured, Ann answered with very proper manners,"Hello kindly dragon Dmetri.  I am very sorry for what i did, I give you my humble apologes.  My name is Ann, and these are my friends, Damon and Leigh.  I am very thankful for your warning, but I must insist we continue.  We are looking for something very valable.  We are looking for a unicorn."
