Chapter One:

Twelve Year's Later

Dearest Diary,
What to wright, what to wright? Well, I shall began with the event's of the past few week's, and why I've decided to keep record of the strange twist of event's.

It's been twelve year's since Meteor. During this time, Shinra Inc's Head of Urban Development, Reeve, was voted President. The former Presedent, Rufus Shinra, had been found barely clinging to life in the rumble for the WEAPON blast, know one know's how he survived. He was rushed to the hospitel, where he remained in a coma, until two year's ago. When he came out of his coma, to the suprise of many, he agreed that Reeve remain President, of what is now known as Reeve Electric Co. People whisper that Rufus has changed drasticly.

My inployer's husband, work's at Reeve Electric Co. as Vice President. Rufus, moved into the finaly finished, Sector 6, which was finished after the rebuilding of Sector 7. The Ex-President, to my own astonishment, moved in right down the street from my own home. He is really quite nice, in my opinion.

The Upper Plate was torn down, and Reeve Electric Co. tower's in the center of Midgar. Unlike Shinra Inc, it has a more inviting air about it. President Reeve himself is a very fair genlman. My inployer insisted I join her and the rest of the former AVALANCHE member's for a reunion there once, and there isn't a man more deserving of the role of President.

Now, I will tell you of the event's, that say, should this be but a game, or movie, would be a sequil to what is now known as the Meteor War.

Chapter Two:

How It Began

It was a normal day, unlike any other in the new Sector 7, or so I thought.

A young girl hurried down the street toward the remodled Seventh Heaven, where she worked as a waitress. Rain pounded the concrete and roof top's, around her. That girl, was me, Onya Kassadeemya.

At last I came to the Seventh Heaven. I stepped through the door, relived to be out of the storm. Upon my entry, the young bartendress looked up and smiled.

"Evening Onya," she greeted me. "Good evening Mrs. Strife," I replied, as I hung my coat by the door. Tifa Strife, formally known as Tifa Lockheart, one of the AVALANCHE member's who helped defeat Sephiroth, during the Meteor War, and my role-modle. She was known for her great drink's and food. Even more so. she was known for her excelent hand-to-hand skill's. No one in Midgar dared cross her, excepted Reno.

Keeping the name Turk's, Reno, Rude, and Elena, now work as a detective group under Reeve. Rude came to the bar often to see Tifa, Reno always came with him, and almost everyother night, alway's when I start my shift. Tifa often tease's me about it. I have taken a liking to the red-headed menice, though I'd never admit it. I also knew about Rude's crush on Tifa, which Reno, 'accedently' told me about, right in front of Rude, who made me swear to secrecy. Neither one seemed to notice Tifa, looking in our direction, and giggling after Reno said it, rather loudly I might add. It was amazing how differnt the two friend's are. Rude could drink the bar limit, and stay perfictly sober, while Reno passed out after his forth shot!

On this particular evening, after taking there seat's, Reno didn't order a drink. "Are you feeling okay, Reno?" I asked. He shook his head, "Would you get Tifa over here, please?" He asked, "Reeve and Cloud have some info, and Cloud want's the rest of AVALANCHE to hear this." "Tifa and Cloud made me a member, too!" I pouted, at being left out. A hint of a smile passed the Turk's lip's," Then you'll need to hear this, too."

I smiled and hurried over to Tifa, "Reno and Rude want to talk to us," I whispered. Tifa nodded, "Tell them they can stay till after we're close." "Kay," I turned to go and delever the message. "Oh, and Onya, tell them they'd better order now if they want anything, cause they won't get any servece after hour's," Tifa smiled. I giggled, and hurried back to the Turk's. Later that night Tifa, Rude, Reno, and I were gathered around a table. Reno, still looking unusualy grim, was the first to speak, "We have some rather....unsettinling new's, late last night, a young man brought in a very distraunt looking girl, with a scar on her back and chest, she was soaking wet.....," Reno paused and glanced at Rude, "Elena's looking into it now," Reno continued, "the girl has been identified as Aeris Gainsbourgh."

Chapter Three:

It Can't Be

Tifa went pale, saying nothing. Aeris was dead, I'd heared the story of her death more than once, there was now way in Heaven or Hell she could have survived. Still I was the first to speak, "Go on, how is that possible?" Reno shook his head, "We don't know how, but when she finaly saw Cloud, she started babbling about the Planet being in terrable danger, and......" Reno trailed off. "And?" Tifa could barely manage the word. Rude looked up, "And, about Sephiroth being back." I couldn't help it, I gasped. "It CAN'T be!" Tifa said, she stood up, and almost fainted on the spot. Rude barely managed to catch her in time. "Reeve and Cloud are getting the former AVALANCHE member's togeter tommorow," Reno concluded. When Tifa found her voice, she turned to me, "Onya, you can go home, this doesn't concern you." I looked at my boss, Tifa Strife, my role-modle, pale as death, and trembling uncontrolibly. It was then I made up my mind. I stood up, slaming my fist on the table, "Like HELL it doesn't concern me!" I shouted, "Tifa you're like a big sister to me, and in all eleven year's I've known you, you've been optimistic, and strong willed, nothing, NOTHING, ever scared you. I'll be DAMNED if I'm gonna let you face something that has this affect on you, without me there to help you! Besides, " I said, lowering my voice, "I'm a member of AVALANCHE, too!"

Tifa smiled weakly, the colar returing to her face. She blushed when she relized Rude had been holding her, and pulled away. "Everyone's meeting in Reeve's office tomorrow," Reno said. Rude stayed to help Tifa clear the table's. When we stepped outside, Reno turned to me, "That was a hellava speach, kiddo." "Yeah," I blushed, " Tifa's my idle, and my best friend. I know everything she went through the first time, and I'll do everything in my power to prevent a repeat of it." "Mind if I walk ya home?" he asked. "If it's because you think I can't handle myself in a fight, forgett it!" I joked. "Ah, well, I was thinking more along the line's of a date," he said, blushing. "Well, why didn't you say so!" I laughed, putting my arm around his.

After walking awhile, a Hell House, suddenly jumped infront of us. Despite all effort's to keep them out, monster's always found a way into Midgar. Reno raised his nightstick, "Now you get to prove to me how well you can handle yourself in a battle," he grined, "NEO TURK LIGHT!" Though weakined consiterably, the Hell House wasn't down yet, and managed to cast Hell Bomber. I reached my limit, "GATES OF HEAVEN AND HELL!" I shouted. A golden gate open infront of me, as I appered in the form of an angle, healing Reno and myself. Next a twisted black gate shot up from the ground. I appeared again, my angle form gone to reveal red-eyes, fang's, and metal claws, shooting out from the back of my hand's. In one bound, I brought my claw's through the enemy, folowing with a slash from the left, then the right, finishing it. I took my rightfull place beside Reno, in my real form. Reno stood mouth open in shock, "You, how did you.......?"

"You'll never know," I joked. Reno shocked exspression was suddenly replaced with his trademark grin. "What time is it?" he asked, as we resumed walking. "Around one, why?" I asked. "Whaddya say we drop in on old Rufie, just to piss him off?" he asked. "RUFIE!" I laughed, "You call Rufus, Rufie?!"

Chapter Four:

Friends, Old And New

Rufus awoke to the banging of the door. He looked at the clock on the bed table to his right, and climbed to his feet. 'Who the hell could it be at one thirty in the morning,' he thought. He opened the door to the girl who had welcomed him into the neiborhood, and a very famlier, grining, red-head.

"Reno! What the hell are you doing here at this hour?!" Rufus demanded. Reno brushed past Rufus, like he owned the place. "Oh, I was just walkin' Onya home, and thought I'd drop by," Reno grined, flopping down in the nearest chair. Rufus gave me a sideway's glance. "Miss Kassadeemya, I realy must protest the company you keep," he said, trying to hide a grin, but failing misaribly. "Then who'd keep you company?" Reno joked. "That's Onya," I cut in, "and I protest the company I keep all the time, but he just keep's comimg back!" I joked. Rufus glared at Reno, "I still have that shotgun, Reno," he said, crossing his arms. Reno quickly shut up.

"You've gotta shotgun?" I exclamed, "KEWL! Let me see it!" Rufus puffed out his chest and smirked, "Well......alright," He said, he opened his closet, and pulled out the same shotgun he used to fight Cloud Strife with, twelve long year's ago. Reno reached over, and snatched it out of Rufus' hand's, pretending to aim at a punching bag in the corner.

At the house across the street, light's flickered on as a shot rang out through the neighborhood. "Reno! What the fuck are you doing?!" Rufus' voice soon followed. "Heh, I knew he would," I burst out laughing. After calming Rufus down, before he murdered Reno, I told him about the conversation that took place in Tifa's bar. After a few minute's of uneasy silence, Rufus offered to help. Reno told him to be at Reeve's office, on the 72nd floor, at three thirty. "He'll be late," Reno wispered as we left. It was around two thirty when Reno dropped me off in front of my house. "Night," I said, turning to go inside. Reno grabbed my arm and spun me around. "What, no goodnight kiss?" He grinned, slipping a hand under my chin.

Chapter Five:

The Meeting

"Is everyone here?" Reeve asked. We were all gathered around the meeting table, which occupied most of Reeve's office. "Rufus ain't here yet," I said. "Give it up, Onya, that foo' ain't gonna show," Barret said. "Oh, he will......" Reno grined. I eyed him, suspiciouse, "Reno." "What!" he said, innoccently. "S-sir," a voice came on over the intercom. "Yes Marcy?" Reeve replied. "R-Rufus Shinra is here, a-and is demanding to......Sir, sir you can't go in there!" the voice broke off. Suddenly, the door to the office was thrown open, and Rufus stormed in. Reno burst out laughing, "What's the matter Rufie, Reeve leave you off his gest list, ahaha." "Reno Danilies, just excactly what have you been up to!" I demainded. In the othere room, Reeve was telling Marcy never to listen to 'That Red-Headed Menice' again.

"Danilies?!" Barret said. He and Cid burst out laughing. "It was just a joke," Reno mumbled, his face matching the color of his hair. I giggled, and thanked God, my hair was blond, and not red. "Can I kill him, PLEASE!" Rufus begged. "No Rufus, not now, sit down!" I said, still laughing. When I finaly stopped laughing, and got Rufus seated a safe distance from Reno, or so I thought, I noticed someone missing. "Hey, Cloud, where's Elena?" I asked. "Why didn't she ask me?" Reno mumbled. Rufus slid down in his chair, and kicked Reno. "AOWWWWWW!" the Turk jumped out of his chair, and litteraly landed in the middle of the table. "RUFUS!" everone in the room chimed in. "WHAT?!" Rufus asked, failing to look innoccent through his fit of laughter.

The laughter was interupted by Reeve clearing his throat. "Now, down to buisness. I assume Reno and Rude have filled you in on the situation at hand," Reeve said, looking around, his gaze lingering on a guiltiy looking Reno. "Wha....oh, forget it that line's getting old," Reno grumbled. "As for Elena," Reeve coninued, pressing the button on the entercom, "Send them in." After a few minute's the door opened, and in walked Elena, followed by the last Centra. "AERIS!" the young ninja, Yuffie Kisaragi, flew into her friend's arm. Aeris stumbled back, slightly shocked by Yuffie's show of affection, her charming smile never wavered, however. "Hi, Yuffie," Aeris smiled. "Aeris......" Tifa trailed off, a tear running down her cheek, as she hugged her friend.

I was last in line. "I'm Onya," I said, "Strange, we've never met, but I feel like I've known you for a long time, I met Tifa eleven year's ago, and she told me about you, it's nice to finaly meet you." Aeris shook my hand and looked me strait in the eye. She said one word a sentence to the Centra, meaning, 'Should I tell them?' I nodded my head. Aeris turned to adress the friend's and people they once fought, that she had not seen in twelve year's. "Everyone, the Planet sent me back, because Sephiroth somehow escaped the lifestream," she paused and looked to each of them, "Also, I'm not alone, the Planet sent Tseng back to help me, and this time I have another Centra to help me." Gasp's were heard throughout the room.

Chapter Six:

Startling Truths

"Who?" why the question had to come from Reno, I'll never know, nore why my eye's meet his when I lifted my head, "Me." Another uproar of gasp's. "Why didn't you tell us?" Tifa was the first to speak. "The Planet said not to, that you'd know soon enough,"I replied, "I had no idea what it meant.......at the time." "What about Tseng?" Elena asked, hopefully. Before anyone could answer, the intercom buzzed to life, "Sssssssir! T-the a GHOST OF TSENG's out here, and want's to see you!" Marcy's voice filled the room. "I'm not a ghost, miss." came another voice. Reno, Rude, and Elena burst out laughing. "Send him in," Reeve replied, before he and the rest of the room joined in with the Turk's.

Tseng walked into the room with his usual indifferent air. The laughter puzzling him, Tseng barely noticed Elena charging at him, until her arm's were around his waist. Uncertain of what to do, Tseing simply stood there, adding to the laughter. When the laugher died down, Reno walked over to Tseing, who was trying to pry Elena off. "Heh, I think you're suppose to hug her back," Reno grinned. "Reno," Tseing started, then remebering he wasn't a Turk any more yelled, "GET HER OFF, I CAN'T BREATH DAMNET!" Elena pulled away a smacked him, "JERK!" she yelled, and stormed out of the room. Reeve shook his head, "Why do these meeting's always begain and end with with someone storming in or out of the room," he muttered. Tseing finaly came out of shock, "I just made a big mistake, didn't I?" "Name's Onya," I said, smaking him on the back, "and yes, you did."

One by one everyone filled out of the room. As I started to leave, Reno grabbed my arm. "Onya, umm, here," Reno said, blushing as he pulled some thing out of his pocket, "I, ah, got this for you," he said, handing me an jade and emraled bracelet. "Oh my God, Reno, I......." I trailed off, in complete shock, as he slipped it on my wrist. "It, ah, matches your eye's. There sorrta like emraled's, but with a hint of jade, and........" Reno was cut short when I threw my arm's around his neck.

Chapter Seven:

Together Again

"Do we have to take the Highwind?" Yuffie whinned. "The most important question right now, is where the fuck are we taking it?" Cid asked, lighting a cigarett. Everyone was gathered on the Highwind, on the outskert's of Rocket town. "The Forgotin Capital," Aeris spoke up. "What's there?" asked Tseng. "We don't know, the Planet say's we'll have to find out for ourselves," I said. Cloud shook his head, "I don't like it......" "Don't worry Cloud, we won't let anything happen this time," said Tifa. "Don't worry, there's no sign of death in the air," I said. Rufus sent me a sideway's glance, "What's that mean?" "It's hard to explain, right before, or near to someone's death, you feel a strange sinsation cluching at your heart. Most people don't notice it, or choose not to, though..........." I trailed off.

"Aeris?" I said, suddenly, "How did Sephiroth escape the Lifestream?" "He had help from Jenova, the Lifestream was unable to cure his madness, only love from a mortal can," Aeris replied. "What is THAT suppose to mean?!" Reno demanded. "I think it mean's only falling in love can cure his madness, or maybe from a parent," I said. "HEY! Let's give 'em Yuffie! They'd go perfict together!" Cid said. "Or Elena," Rufus mumbled. "WHAT!" Elena said, jumping from her seat. "Nothing," Rufus replied, trying to look innocent. "I know this probably isn't the time, but........let's go to the Gold Saucer, all of us. Just in case........we don't come back this time," Vincent said, suddenly. "What are you talkin' 'bout, foo'? Course we'll come back. Marlene'll be waitin' to see her uncle Vinne!" Barret yelled. "Vincent, if you were to inform Sephiroth of his true identity, could it break Jenova's control over him?" asked Red.

"That could work, Naniki, if Sephiroth himself wanted to belive it," I said, "For now, though I believe we'll all be coming back, I for one would like to spend some time with all of you.........just in case." "Don't worry Onya, we'll all come back, or my name isn't Rufus Shinra," said Rufus. "That's right," said Reeve, and I can get us all free room's." "Well then, to the Gold Saucer, damnit!" yelled Cid.

Chapter Eight:

The Good Time's Bring Back The Bad

"Hey Tifa, let's go to the Battle Arena, I'll win you somethin'," said Cloud. "Alright," Tifa said, giggling, the two jumped down the seat to the Battle Arena. Everyone began to wonder off. Yuffie grabbed Vincent and pulled him off to the Entertainment Sqaure, where they were the hundreth couple of the day. "Aeris, want to go see Vampy and that brat make fool's of themselves?" Rufus asked. Aeris giggled, "Sure." Tseng supprised Elena by asking her to go to Speed Square, with him and Rude.

"So..........you wanna go on the Gondila?" Reno asked. "Sure, why not?" I replied. "That'll be 3 GP" "Here," replied Reno. "Enjoy" We sat in uneasy silence, until we reached the top. "How pretty!" I exclaimed, as a dozen giant balloon's flew into the air. Suddenly the Gondila lurched to a stop. "What happed?" Reno asked, looking out the window. "We're stuck at the top," I said, giggling, "This is better than a ferris wheel! Don't you think?" "I wouldn't know," Reno replied. "You've never been on a ferris wheel?" I gasped, raising a hand to my mouth, "What did you do with your childhood?" Reno shook his head, "I didn't have one. My father was a drunk, and my mother died giving birth." "I'm sorry....." I said, looking away. "Don't be, I'm not. Anyway, he threw me out on the street when I was fifteen, Tseng took me in," Reno said, bitterness filling his voice. "What happend?" I asked. Reno sighed, and leanded his head back, "Well, it was about two week's after my birthday, my aunt had sent me some money, but I didn't tell him cause he'd just take it:"

"Reno damnit, get me another beer!" Reno's father shouted. "Yes Mitchel," Reno mumbled, climbing to his feet. "What, I can't hear you," Mitchel yelled. Reno sighed, "YES MITCHEL." Reno returned a few minute's later, beer in hand. Mitchel back handed him, Reno didn't flinch. "Damnit boy, move faster!"

"I'm going to bed," Reno said, turning toward the stair's. In his room, Reno pulled out a small shoe box, taking off the lid he pulled out a wad of money, from his previouse birthday's, adding twenty gil to it, he began counting. Suddenly the door burst open, and Mitchel stumbled in. "What the hell is that!" he demanded, noticing the money in Reno's hand, "You been holding out on me boy?"

Reno clutched the money in his hand, backing toward the bed. Mitchel broke his beer bottle on the rugged dresser near the door, and advanced. He grabbed Reno by the collar and drug the broke glass down each cheek under his eye's. Ripping the money from Reno's hand, he drug the boy down the stair's and threw him out the front door, "Get outta here and if you come back, I'll kill you!" Mitchel yelled. A hand clasping each cheek, Reno ran down the street, and finaly collasped in a dark alley.

"That's horrible!" I exclaimed, tracing the scar on his left cheek with my fingure, "So......how'd you join the Turk's?" "Well, after when I woke up, I wasn't in the alley anymore, and my wound's were bandaged:"

"Where......am I?" Reno asked, holding his head. "Shinra Headquarters," came a voice. "Who're you?" Reno asked. "Tseng, leader of the Turk's" came the reply. "You the one who brought me here?" Reno asked. Tseng nodded. "Why," Reno wondered. "I have a deal for you, you can stay here and train to be a Turk, or you can go back to the street's," said Tseng.

"I choose the Turk's," said Reno, "When I was seventeen, I was sent on a job, with Rude, to collect from a man who was two year's behind on his bill's, the look on his face when I came knocking, was priceless. Even more so when he relized just who I was:"

"Who are you, and what do you want?" the man demanded. "Why father dear, don't you reconize your own son," Reno asked, his voice emotionless. "Reno, boy is that you, what the hell do you want!" Mitchel yelled. "Money, I'm here to collect," Reno said. "Forget it," Mitchel yelled, taking a swing at him, Reno easily side stepped him, and brought his a knife to Mitchel's throat, in one swift movement.

"Tsk, tsk, you should no better than to cross Shinra," Reno said. "Shinra! You're a goddamn Turk!" Mitchel panicked as the relization hit him. "I outta slit your throat right here," Reno growled, his voice deadly enough to frighten a man twice his size. "Forget it Reno, the piece of trash isn't worth it," said a voice. "Your right, Rude," Reno said, lifting Mitchel by his throat and flinging him acoss the room. "However if you don't pay next time.........." Reno cut of, running a fingure across his throat, a cold grin on his face.

"Gee," I said, unsure of what to say. "Heh, you're lucky, babe," Reno said, "You prabably had a nice warm home, with parent's that loved you." "I wish," I said, "You think you had it bad, that's nothin, I was on the street at the age of six." "WHAT!" Reno exclaimed. I nodded my head, "It's true, my real mother wanted to keep the fact I was Cetra a secret. So she left me on a door step, the wrong door step. The woman kept me, but she was a whore, and a total drug addict. She'd go out and leave me every night, and I had to be in bed before she got back. One night, I wasn't in bed, she came in with one of her 'regular's', and sent me to bed after cussing me out. The next morning after her 'costomer' had left she came into my room screaming and yelling, she beat me till I was unconcess, I woke up in and old abanded building:"

"You alright, kiddo?" came a worried voice. Onya stirred and opened her eye's, "Huh? Where am I?" "The old wearhouse, in Sector 3, I'm Masson Cole." "I'm Onya, how'd I get here?" Onya asked.

The blond, motioned to a boy in the corner, "Jarmi found you. What happened?" "I don't wanna talk 'bout it," Onya replied. "You don't havta," said a blond girl in the corner, "I'm Delcia Chere, and that is Jarmi Figaro, and she's Catalina Branford," Delcia said, pointing to a girl with jade green hair, and a boy with a long braid.

"They where all kid's, and we all had a simalier story to tell," I said. "What happend to them?" Reno asked. I lowered my head, trying to avoid eye contact, "We were in Sector 7, for my eleventh birthday, twelve year's ago, the next day, I went ahead out of the Sector. That was the last time I saw them, I don't know if any of them survived, but they were there when the plate fell..........." I trailed off. The ride sprang to life, and we began moving again. "I'm so sorry," Reno said, "it's all my fault......" "NO IT'S NOT!" I exclaimed, too fast, "You were just folowing order's there's no WAY you could've know!" "Yeah, but still....." "Reno Danilies, if you start feeling guilty, I'll have to beat the shit outta you," I cut in. "I'd like to see you try!" Reno laughed. In a matter of seconed's we were laughing again.

"I'm sorry for the delay" the girl said, as we climbed out of the Gondila. "No prob," I said. "Well, we'd better be headin' for the hotel before the gang send's a search party after us," Reno said. I smiled, "Walk me to my room?" Reno grinned, "Sure."

Chapter Nine:

Vincent Valentine

He move swiftly and silently down the stair's, his friend's still asleep at this ungodly hour. He had to get there first, to reveal the truth, to atone for his ultimate sin.

"Lucrecia," Vincent mouthed the name. 'Your son will know the truth, even if it cost me my life. Forgive me for falling for someone else, you will always be first in my heart,' he thought.

Moving swiftly, Vincent soon found himself on the ride down from the Gold Saucer. After removing a gold chocobo from the Highwind's stable's, he rode toward the Northern Contenent, in hope's of finding the son of his lost love.

Chapter Ten:

Missing

"Is everyone here?" Cloud asked. "Vampy isn't," came a voice from the corner. "For the hundreth time, his name is Vincent, RUFIE!" I exclaimed. The room roar to life with laughter.

"Well next time I won't tell you anything," Rufus said, sticking his toung out. This gained even more laughter. "Um, guy's!" Yuffie yelled over the laughter, "Vincent realy is missing!"

"He's probably asleep in his cofin, I'll go check," Rufus said, heading up the stair's to Vincent's room. "He is NOT a vampire!" yelled Yuffie. Rufus smirked and kept walking.

"He would've been the first one up if he was here," I said. "Can't the Planet tell you where he's at?" Reno asked. I shook my head, "It's not that simple. Keeping track of Sephiroth for us is hard enough."

"He's not there," Rufus annocced. "Well I coud've fucking told you that if I thought you listen!" growled Cid, his mood worsend when he relized he was out of cigaret's.

After a stream of curse's, Cid turn to find a grinning Reno holding out a cigaret. "Thank's," Cid growled, snaching it. "Nanaki, didn't you say something to Vincent about telling Sephiroth about his parent's?" I asked.

"Indeed, I did," Red replied. "He probably went ahead to the Forgoton City, to find Sephiroth," said Aeris. "How could he get there?" Barret asked. "There's a gold chocobo for each of us on the Highwind," Cid said. "Let's see if one's missing," Tifa said. Cloud nodded, "Right, then we'll head to the Forgoton City. Move Out!" he said, grinning at Cid.

Chapter Eleven:

Vincent and Sephiroth

He stood at the alter, confussion pounded his mind. While in the Lifestream, Sephiroth had leared of Aeris' father. The one man who'd ever shown him kindness, and in return he had killed his daughter.

Jenova's voice broke his train of thought, willing him back to her. Sephiroth struggled to keep his train of thought. The voices in the Lifestream had told him Jenova was not his mother.

Before they could say who was, he was pulled back to the land of the living. Jenova, not his mother? No it couldn't be true, could it?

"Sephiroth!" called a voice. The silver haired man turned around, glowning green eye's narrowed upon meeting blood red one's. "Who are you?" something had stop Sephiroth from killing this man on the spot. That voice, sounded somewhat familier.

"Hush now, don't cry, mommy would't want you to cry," came a voice. The baby slowly opened his eye's. It was dark, the outline of the lab would chill the bravest man to the bone.

The man picked the baby up, and cradled him in his arm's. "Your mommy asked me to hold you for her, little Sephiroth," said the voice. Suddenly the light's flickered on.

"Vincent Valentine. I should've known, put my speciman down this instint!" came another voice, cold, uncaring, just like it's owner. "Hojo," Vincent growled, slowly lowering the baby back onto the table, that served as a crib.

"Mr. Valentine, I want to see you in my lab down stair's in an hour," the mad scientist said, turning his back on the two.

Vincent took a step foward, "I'm here to talk, I knew your mother, your real mother," he said. "Jenova is my mother!" Sephiroth thundered.

"NO!" shouted Vincent, "Your mother was a woman named Lucrecia, she loved you very much. But your father left her to die, calling your name."

Sephiroth started to say something, but stopped. Jenova was trying despratly to take controle of his mind. "Vincent Valentine," the name came out a whisper, but Vincent heard it, "Yes."

Sephiroth looked up, Jenova's control was fading fast. "When I was little, you came into the lab, and said my mother asked you to hold me for her, right?" the silver haired man asked. Vincent nodded.

Though he feared the answer, Sephiroth asked one final question, "Who, is my father?"

Chapter 12:

Meanwhile

"We'll be touching down in a minute, we'd better split into three group's," said Cid. "Right," I nodded, "me, Aeris, Rufus, Nanaki, and Reno, will go to the alter." "I realy don't want you going back there, Aeris," Cloud protested. "Don't worry," Reno grinned, "I'll take REAL good care of them."

"That's what I'm worried about," groaned Cloud, "Alright, me, Tifa, Rude, Barret, and Yuffie, will go left. Cid, you, Tseng, Elena, Reeve, and Cait Sith, go right." Reeve nodded, "I can't wait to see Cait's artificial intelegents put to use in battle," he said, loading his gun.

I suddenly felt a strange sinsation, "Aeris, do you feel that?" Aeris nodded. "Jenova's here, and so is Sephiroth." "So this is it then, the final battle," said Yuffie, "Don't any of you die on me now!" Everyone turned to look at her in shook.

"Cause I get your manteria when it's over!" she finished. Groan's filled the room. "Onya, do you sence something different in Sephiroth's aura?" asked Aeris. "Yes it seem's peaceful, maybe we'll only be fighting Jenova," I replied. "Alright then Let's moosey!" shoated Cid, grinning at Cloud.

Chapter 13:

The Right Path, The Left Path, And In The Middle

Cid, Reeve, Cait, Tseng, and Elena trudged past the shell-like houses. After searching everywhere nothing turned up. "Fuck," cursed Cid, "nothing, we'd better head back."

Over on Cloud's side, they were having similar luck. "There's no sign of anything here, let's get back to the other's," instructed Cloud.

"Find anything?" Asked Cloud. "Notta damn thing," Cid replied, "Not even any moster's, this is seriously fucked up."

"Onya might have found something, we should catch up while our luck holdes out," Yuffie said. Sudenly a large beast flew at them out of nowhere. "Shit!" yelled Cid, readying his Venus Gospel, "had to open your mouth, didn't you?!"

The beast dived at Cloud who side stepped the attack, bringing the Ultima Weapon across the beast's right wing. Elena threw a grenaded, barely missing the creature. Yuffie held out a yellow manteria orb, "Scan" she called, "Balvidor, it's weak against demi and lighting. Take out it's wing's first, it can heal itself with them!" she informed the group. Cid held out a red manteria orb and shouted, "Ultimate End" The creature roared in agony as the wing Cloud had previously struck was removed by the fifth knight, and again as he almost lost the other to the thirteenth knight. Cait cast Wall on the group, right before the beast sprayed forth a storm of fire onto the group. Tifa and Rude both attaked the remaining wing together, finishing it. Now unable to heal itself, the Balvidor was going to prove less of a chalange. Reeve held up a red manteria orb, "Judgement Bolt" he said. Then with one deadly shot between the eye's from Tseng, the beast took it's final breath.

The ten friend's ran as fast as the could toward the place none of them had ever wanted to lay eye's on again. The place of Aeris' death.

Chapte 14:

The Final Battle

"Vincent!" called Aeris, as we jumped over the logg's toward the alter. There stood two soules who's lives were forever changed by the same, demond. Before the alter stood Vincent and Sephiroth, Hojo's 'creation's' which led to his own death.

After and ackward silence, Sephiroth aproached. "Aeris?" he asked. "Yes," replied my fellow Cetra. Sephiroth turned his head down in shame, "I know I have no right to ask for your forgiveness, but....." Aeris raised her hand to Sephiroth's cheek, "I forgave you a long time ago, Sephiroth. Jenova had you under her control, you cannot be held responsable for your action's at that time," she said.

"Aeris! Get away from him!" came a voice, everyone turned to see Cloud running top speed toward the alter, weapone raised, the other's close behind.

"Cloud, stop," Aeris said, stepping in front of Sephiroth. Cloud came to a halt, a few feet away. "What the fuck's goin on?" Cid demanded. "Sephiroth know's the truth," I said, "Jenova's lost control over him."

Suddenly, a rumble shook the ground. From the celling, emerged the calmity from the sky's herself. Jenova was ready for the final battle. Sephiroth turned to Vincent, "Get them out of here. NOW!" Vincent nodded his head. Everone began to leave the alter, except two people.

Raising his Ultima Weapon, Cloud spit out through ground teeth, "I'm NOT leaving this battle," He said to Sephiroth. "Nor am I. This is my battle as well, for all my friend's suffering," I said.

Sephiroth nodded. Jenova roared. Four tentical's flew from her side's. A purple vein pulsed in plain veiw across her chest. "Go for the vein, and avoid getting hit by lime light at all cost!" Sephiroth warn, just as the battle begain. Sephiroth cast bolt 3, easily taking out the tentical's. Cloud's limit was ready, I had save mine as well.

Jenova cast lime light, knocking us all to the ground. Cloud held out a green orb, "Cure 3, all" he called. I held out an orb of my own, a manteria my mother had past on to me. "Death's path to Distruction" I yelled. The grim reaper shot up behind Jenova, peminatly removing the four tenical's before they could rejuvinate. As the form of the grim reaper faded out, fire, ice, and lighting bambarded Jenova at once.

"On the count of three, use your limit," Sephiroth shouted, "One" Jenova prepared to use lime light. "Two" Jenova poised for the attack. "Three" Jenova never struck. Cloud struck with OMNISLASH. I followed up with Gates of Heaven and Hell. Jenova fell to the ground.

It was Sephiroth's turn. "Rest in Peace," he said holding up his palm. A ball of blinding light struck Jenova. When the light cleared, all that remained of Jenova was ashes. The nightmare was finaly over.
