What is begging to the SD

 Brothers and sisters, I hate to bring up this ugly subject, but of late I have gotten close to 10 complaints about people in the Shadowdragon guild, who are going around begging.   If this doesn't apply to you I appologize for bringing up this ugly subject. If it does apply to you, read on...it might help you to stay in the guild.

     Without naming names, I will tell you this. At least two persons in this guild have been warned against this. Begging is shameful, pitiful and a dishonor to our guild. It shows that you are lazy. It shows that you lack pride in yourself. It shows that you do not understand pride in your guild.

     Begging is not allowed within the guild, or out of the guild to other people. Why outside the guild too??  Because you wear the honorable name of SHADOWDRAGON above your head.

Here are examples of comments that are not begging.

1.)  If you guys get some extra Glass slippers on the raid, that no one needs, please try to save a pair for me?

2.)  If anyone is available, can I get a port from NK rings to SRo rings?

3.)  Can I trade my frozen long sword, for a good 1hb weapon with anyone?

4.)  Can I powerlevel anyone's alts, under level 10, in exchange for someone powerleveling of my level 5 monk?

5.)  I'm bored. Does anyone need some help?

Below are examples of BEGGERS

1.)  Can you port me to Surefall, and can you come pick me up in Oasis, I dont know how to get to the Commons     ring. (If you want a port, it is common courtesy to get yourself to a druid ring, or spires. Though it is not a bad idea to ask for the port first, and if one is available, tell the person that you will send a tell when you get to the nearest rings or spires, if they will still be available. This gives the porter some time to finish up whatever they are doing, before coming to help you).

2.)  Does anyone have a Magic weapon I can have? Anything? I need a good weapon.(Get your butt out there and kill something. Just like everyone else. How do you think they got their stuff?).

3.)  Can you come powerlevel me?(Shadowdragons above ALL others in Norrath LOVE to help people. BUT, we help those who help themselves. I have powerleveled people before, but this is what inspired me to do it.

They are nice.

They help other people. 

They offer extra items that they have to people who need it.

In short, selflessness. 

     When I see this type of person, I am proud of them, and I often show up, out of the blue and powerlevel them, or buff them, or give them items from the guild bag, or my personal stash. Not always, but when I have time. When I am not grouped or deep into a quest.

Whatever you do, keep the HONOR of our guild in mind. We all get mad at jerks. But, temper this anger with the fact that you have the words Shadowdragon above your head.

Beggers. You have been patiently, and more than fairly warned. Stop begging. Respect yourself and your brothers and sisters. If not, you will be politely removed from the guild.
