ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Reverend Professor Winston Thompson began his martial arts training at the age of five in New Providence, Bahamas.
He has been teaching since 1974, holds a Doctorate in Physical Education and
a 10th degree black belt in Jiu-Jitsu.
Professor Thompson received his Masters Rank in Weapons and Instructors Rank in Self Defense in 1981
from the American
Southwest Academy Fighting Arts.
Professor Thompson completed his advanced training at the 1507 year old Shaolin Temple in China,
and is the 1st West Indies Shaolin Boxer. Professor Thompson was voted
National Martial Arts Instructor of the year 1983 in the Bahamas.
Grandmaster Winston Thompson, celebrating his 40th Anniversary in Martial Arts (1964 - 2004),
is the National Teacher & Founder of the
Self Defense International Teachers Council.
A 4th Generation Ordained Minister and was the Senior Pastor from 1999 to 2005 at Cy-Fair Church of God of Prophecy,
he has attained a Bachelor of Ministry in Pastoral Ministry and is a Doctorate in Pastoral Ministry Candidate.
Continuing his education for Health and Fitness,
Professor Thompson became a
SCI Natural Health Consultant and Relaxation Therapist with Highest Honors.
Also, in 1987 he graduated from the Global School of Investigation as a private investigator.
