The gang made there way back to Buffy’s house and gathered in the front room. They were anxiously awaiting for Buffy’s plan. Finally Buffy made her way into the front room. Buffy stood in front of the group and looked at each of them, she looked to Faith, Tara, and Oz. Next she made eye contact with Xander, Willow, and Giles. And then there was her innocent sister, Dawn. “Dawn..” but before she could go on, Dawn interrupted and said, “no, Buffy, you don’t need to say it. I know that you don’t want me there, and it’s ok. I finally understand that I’m to young.”
Buffy smiles and says, “Dawnie, you’ve grown up so much. I love you. But, just because you’re all sweet and grown uppy, that doesn’t mean you are going to be left alone.”
“Oh, C’mon Buffy,” Dawnie cries out.
Buffy laughs and says, “You know I’m right sis, so please don’t fight me on this one.”
Buffy then looks to Tara, Oz, and Faith, “You guys need to stay here and watch Dawn.”
Faith blurts, “C’mon B! You need me with you. Two slayers. We could destroy everything.”
“Faith,” Buffy interjects, “You need to stay here and watch Sunnydale and be the slayer here.”
“That’s good B. I like that idea here. Havin’ the place all to myself.”
“Thank you Faith,” as Buffy makes her way to Giles and Willow.
“I’m gonna need the two of you with me. Willow I need you to sharpen your Wicka skills because they will sorely be needed. And Giles, I need you with me as well, I need you to help Wesley when we get to L.A.”
“Bloody terrific,” Giles blurts out.
“Don’t worry Giles,” Buffy responds. “ Wesley isn’t the same as before. He is a lot smarter and wiser. You two will make a formidable duo. Trust me.”
“Always Buffy,” Giles says with love. “You can always count on me.”
Buffy turns her attention to the man that just lost the love of his life. But before she could say a word, Xander begins, “Ok, Buffster what do you have planned for the Xan man. I’m totally down for the killin’ thing. For some odd reason, I feel the need to do a little slayin action.”
“Xander, you can come with us. But at the first sign of trouble, you are getting the hell out of the room. You got it. “
“I got it skipper,” Xander says emphatically.
Willow and Xander run off to gather some things. All the while not knowing what they are in store for. Willow started to think to herself, “Whistler didn’t tell us a damn thing. How am I supposed to pack, when I don’t know how long I’m gonna be gone for, or if I’m even gonna come back.”
