Welcome to the course of
Laboratory Medicine / Physical Examination and Medical History.

This course is in the curriculum for the Medical Transcription program and is instructed by means of the Internet.




This course is designed for Internet learning. There are fifteen lessons, and fifteen weeks in the semester. However deadlines are listed and must be met to complete the course. The deadlines for each individual lesson and Exam deadlines are listed on the each Lesson plan. At the end of each lesson, there are assignments or quizzes, refer to the individual Lesson formats. Exams and what material they will cover along with the deadline are noted on the designated Lesson Plans. For deadlines not met--refer to the syllabus for details. READ EACH INDIVIDUAL LESSON VERY CAREFULLY AND RECORD THE DEADLINES.

You may work from home or from a computer lab—anywhere you have Internet access and feel comfortable. Like all self-directed learning, you will take away from this course exactly what you put into it. You will need an e-mail address so that the instructor can answer your questions and send you course materials when you are ready. Your first task is to e-mail your instructor at marygjernes@yahoo.com and give her your e-mail address. Do this now.
