Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Q: Do I have to be in shape to join?
A: NO! Our job is to train you and get you in shape. When you start training, work at the level you are comfortable with and ask the trainers if you have a question.

Q: Can women join the program?
A: ABSOLUTELY! The program is open to both women and men. In fact, about half of our membership is composed of women.

Q: Do I need previous martial arts training?
A: About 75% of the students have NEVER trained martial arts before they come to us. Of course, if you've trained before you are also certainly welcome to come down and try a free to learn more about us and our programs.

Q: Do I have to do contact and free sparring?
A: NO. We offer fitness kickboxing classes which uses the heavy bag to teach the basic techniques and stresses fitness conditioning, including cardio/strength and "boot camp" classes. Many people benefit without ever taking the contact classes.

Q: Can I bring a friend?
A: ABSOLUTELY! Friends that work out together come more often and see results more quickly!

San Da / Muay Thai

I understand and agree that Martial Arts, Self Defense, Kickboxing, Fitness Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu, San Da, San Shou, Muay Thai, Boxing, Grappling and Weight Training are activities in which injury can occur. I understand and agree that New York San Da will not be held liable for injuries, damages, etc, not caused by or resulting from negligence of the owners, operators, employees or persons in charge of New York San Da. I hereby represent that I am physically fit to receive and participate in the prescribed course of istruction. I will faithfully comply with all the rules and regulations of New York San Da.

Please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment.
