Pamela Jo Hanson
Services were held Saturday June 12, 1982 at 10:30 a.m. at the Clark High School auditorium for Pamela Jo Hanson, 17, a recent graduate with the local senior class. She passed away at her home here June 9.
Clergyman for the service was Rev. Jerry Albert and interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Janel Nordhus was the organist and Ruth Danekas the soloist.
The popular young lady was born July 8, 1964 to Janet and the late Gene Hanson at Clear Lake. The family moved to Clark in 1970.
During her high school career she was active in numerous activities including serving as both a "B" and "A" cheerleader, reporter for the school paper, and was a member of the school band and mixed chorus. Miss Hanson was also a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Luther League.
Survivors are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hurlbut of Clark; two brothers, Scott a student at SDSU in Brookings, and Bruce, a student at USD; a step-sister, Mrs. Lowell (Tamie) Pfleger and a step-brother, Rodney Hurlbut. Maternal Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Owen Hicks and Paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Nordt Hanson of Clear Lake.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1975.
Serving as pallbearers were Fred White, Rod Gruenwald, Dale Peckham, Shawn Thelen, Jeff Hoffman and Jeff Olson.
