BUTTERFLY PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS

A PERSONAL TRIBUTE TO

THE CHAPEL OF MT VIEW LUTHERAN CHURCH

ALSO TO YOU PEARL, MOTHER DEAR TO ME:

Here is to the chapel and also to you my mother who had me when you were 43 years old, and had me baptised there with the Egges and Johnsons standing up for me. Here is to both you my mother and the chapel where I was raised to love the Lord. That you mother brought me to attend both Sunday Church and Sunday School till an adult. There are times that my heart longs for those simpler times spent in that building once our Church, but now our chapel. Especially since then whenever I fell away from Grace your prayers brought me back, and what was learned of God's word within those hallowed walls. A mother's love covers a multitude of sins and as the Bible says it was really tested time after time with me. I have had to share you with seven other siblings, and many other people who have been given to you by the Lord to serve. Here at age 90 years old you are still busy with the Church councils, your quilting group, heritage group, chore working, the women church circle group, garden club, Tacoma's merchant marine mission, babysitting jobs, house cleaning jobs, house sitting jobs, visiting sick in hospitals, visiting those in nursing homes, and still having time to be a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. I have truly been blessed to have you as my mom. I'm really proud of you!

I KNOW THAT YOUR OTHER CHILDREN

All Join Me, Your Baby Of 46, In Thanking The LORD JESUS CHRIST For Being Able To Have You As Our MOTHER. Plus We Join You In Keeping The Building Known Now As The Chapel Alive For Future Generations. TO US IT IS THE CHURCH OF OUR YOUTH, AND THE CHURCH HUSBAND (FATHER OF THE OLDEST SEVEN) ROBERT GINTHER FOUND FOR THE FAMILY.

THOUGH THE CROSS STILL POINTS UPWARD TOWARD HEAVEN I ONLY WISH THE CHURCH OF YOUR YOUTH BACK IN BRYANT, SOUTH DAKOTA, HAD BEEN SPARED ENDING UP SOMEONE'S STORAGE UNIT AND WAS MOVED TO PLAIN VIEW FARM FOR OUR FUTURE REUNIONS. BUT THE BUILDING IS A LOSS. THANKS TO THE LORD THAT WE CAUGHT THE MOUNTAIN VIEW CHAPEL IN TIME BEFORE IT SUFFERED THE SAME FATE. VISITORS MIGHT WELL WANT TO CHECK IN NOW AT A WONDERFUL TRIP TO BRYANT AMERICAN LUTHERAN CHURCH AND THE PARSONAGE, AS GIVEN IN THE BIOGRAPHICAL ACCOUNT BY THE SON OF A PASTOR IN YEARS PAST, REV. JORDAHL. EARLING JORDAHL, HIS SON, HAS GRANTED US PERMISSION TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING RARE AND PERCEPTIVE ACCOUNT OF HIS BRINGING BACK TO LIFE THE BELOVED OLD CHURCH IN BRYANT AND THE TRULY PIOUS LIFE-STYLE ENJOYED BY HIM AND HIS FAMILY, A LIFE-STYLE THAT CAN HARDLY BE COMPREHENDED IN THESE TIMES AND IN THIS LARGELY IRRELIGIOUS AND NON-REVERENT SOCIETY WE SEE AROUND US TODAY! (NOTE: A LINK WILL SOON BE PROVIDED, PLEASE RETURN FOR IT, FOR FOR IT WILL BE AN "EYE OPENER" AND A PICTURE WE KNOW YOU WON'T FORGET.)

YOUR SON, JERRY L. BALDWIN-GINTHER

MOUNTAIN VIEW LUTHERAN CHURCH'S

72 YEAR OLD CHAPEL

DOESN'T LOOK AS TIME-WORN AS THIS

BUT

IT NEEDS AS MUCH PRAYER

FOR ITS RESTORATION

AND

ITS FUTURE USE

IN THE SERVICE OF THE LORD!

TO ALL WHO ARE VISITING US ON-LINE

PLEASE JOIN US IN PRAYING

FOR THIS ON-GOING PROJECT

TO RESTORE THIS SYMBOL

OF

CHRIST'S GREAT SACRIFICE

FOR OUR SALVATION

WHICH

IS VISIBLE FOR MILES

FOR THOSE TRAVELING ON THE ROADS

LEADING TO ITS VIEW POINT

OF

MOUNT RAINIER

AND

IN THE SHADOW

OF

ITS ATTRACTIVE A-FRAME REPLACEMENT, THE THIRTY-THREE YEAR OLD "NEW SANCTUARY"!

"FAITH IS A PILGRIM'S WALK"

Saving and restoring the old Chapel is a

unique learning experience by which

the Lord stretches faith in all concerned

to grasp the larger picture,

which in this case includes possibly

generations to come.

Even if the Chapel should not be

preserved physically.

The "faith capital"

built up by all

endeavoring to save the Chapel

will not be lost

but

will enrich them

in many ways that change

lives for Christ

for years to come.

Faith is the Pilgrim-

walk to the Promised Land

of God's blessings for His children.

Doubt or unbelief leaves

a person stranded in the wilderness

of a wasted, misdirected life.

Exercising faith for God's glory

and

the benefit of others

cannot fail to win what God

wants for us.

THANK-YOU RON GINTHER, OUR PUBLISHER, AND MY BROTHER,

FOR THAT WORD FOR US ABOUT THE CHAPEL

I KNOW I WAS BLESSED BY IT

GOD BLESS YOU FOR WRITING IT

A CHAPEL WHERE
