More About Me!

Well, I have been told that I should put more info about myself in my webpage. So, here I am giving the world the low-down on lil' ol' me! As with most of the sections of my webpage, I want to add pictures, but they are at home, and I am at school. But, as I said, I am a college sophomore, I am a Mass Communications major with an emphasis on Advertising. My dream job is working for a major advertising company (and living in a big city!) designing the magazine ads for Coke or Gap! :) But, I have to get out of college first, and that's a long way off yet ...

Letsee... now where can I go?? Well, I guess I could tell you about what I like. I, obviously, like to work on the computer. I find it relaxing and challenging at the same time! I also like to read and listen to music (country music is my new-found love, as crazy as that may seem!) Right now, I am really into classic literature. I read Pride and Prejudice for an English class last semester, and I just loved it! Mr. Darcy was so gentlemenly, Mr. Bennett made me laugh so, so, so hard. I read some great books over the summer (for fun!) including Catcher in the Rye (which I loved so much. I think it is my most favorite book ever!), The Great Gatsby, and Bridget Jones' Diary, which was so funny. If anyone out there has read any of these books, or any other good books that you would like to recommend, please feel free to email me, or leave a note in the guestbook!!

Hmmm... what else would the world like to know about me? I have a brother, Randy, who is 17, which i find so hard to believe. I think that it is okay for me to get older, but Randy should always stay really young. I swear sometimes I forget how old he is, and I think he is like 12 or 13. It is weird. He doesn't have a webpage, but I think he would like to make one. Maybe I will have to help him with it sometime.

I love to do fun things! Last year was the best. I went to so many places and had a blast! On my birthday (Nov. 7 -- Hint! I love email birthday cards!!) last year we went into the Twin Cities to see a production of RENT at the Ordway Theater. Now, that was a lot of fun. It was so, so amazing!! I still find it hard to believe that I actually had the opportunity and privelege to see it. I have the soundtrack now, and I listen to it when I need to be reminded of the good times of last year! I also went to Julius Caesar at the Guthrie Theater, also in the Twin Cities. I didn't understand it totally, but it was a good experience. There was a really cool slo-mo scene when they kill Caesar! Then, of course, the highlight last year was BILLY JOEL!! It was the most amazing night! He gives such a good show, and of course who doesn't like Billy Joel's music? I think he is definitely one of the best artists of the 20th century. I paid $50 for the nose-bleed seat to see Billy Joel, but now that I have seen him, I would pay anything to see him again -- in any seat!

This year, I don't have a lot of fun things planned, but I am sure something will pop up from time to time. On Sept. 25 I travelled to Green Bay, WI to see a production of Phantom of the Opera with my aunt and uncle. I was so excited. I had never seen it, and all I ever hear is excellent things about it! It was amazing. The incredible sets and costumes amazed me -- not too mention the singing! Aah! I loved it! I want to do more things this year, but I will have to see!

We got a new puppy this year! My folks got her the day before I left for school (somehow, I felt I was being replaced!). She is a Border Collie named Molly the Collie. She is very, very cute. I miss her when I am at school (and actually, I have only seen her three times in total!) I know Molly the Collie is kind of corny, but I never even noticed that Molly rhymed w/ collie until the first time i went home. My stepdad was calling Molly from the back yard and he said, "Come here Molly wolly collie." It was very cute!

Well, that is all for this page for now. I am going to try to get some pictures here, soon, but i have to remember to bring some from home. I am going to add more to the page, as well, but I am too tired tonight!
