By the time you read this the finest First Person Shoot 'em up on the Nintendo GameCube will be in the shops - Metroid Prime. This site pays homage to Retro Studios' award-winning masterpiece.

Metroid Prime is the fifth in a series of action-packed shooters, and fits snuggly into the timeline as our Metroid History page shows. complete with information on previous outings this is a worthwhile read to get up to speed on the story past, present, and future.

Throughout her adventures Samus has aquired several different abilities and Prime features many old and new favourites. Good job too, because the enemies in her first outing on GameCube are some of the meanest, baddest, and most trecherous she's ever faced! But still, nothing our favourite bounty hunter can't handle, as these screenshots clearly show.

We've also included some of the secret options and bonuses unlockable upon meeting certain criteria. There's plenty to keep you going once you've finished the game, and the ability to link to Metroid Fusion means you've got a perfect excuse to rush out and buy a GameBoy Advance.
