Wasco strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same.
They claimed a resounding 36-7 win over the Tehachapi Warriors. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge
for the 36-8 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced
one another back in September of 2024.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go
to Hammie Lopez and Aiden Hulsey. Lopez rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns while Hulsey
rushed for 58 yards and one score. Lopez has been hot recently, having posted two
or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
Wasco's record now sits at 4-0. As for Tehachapi, their loss ended a four-game
streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
Wasco and Tehachapi will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches.
The next time the Tigers see the field they'll take on Tulare Western at 7:30 p.m.
on the 26th. As for Tehachapi, their break will end when they face Golden West at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th.
