Tehachapi and San Joaquin Memorial met for the first time in school history in 2010. The Warriors won the contest, 13-10, to win a Central Section Division II championship.

The Panthers currently play in the County/Metro Athletic Conference with other Fresno area schools including Sunnyside, Edison, Bullard, Sanger, and Madera. The Panthers finished in 3rd place in the CMAC (in 2010), behind league champion Sunnyside and runner-up Edison.

San Joaquin Memorial has a student population of nearly 600 students in grades 9-12 (2010). The school colors are red-white-blue. San Joaquin Memorial is located in Fresno at 1406 North Fresno St. (cross street is E. McKinley Ave.)

San Joaquin Memorial is a private Catholic high school owned and operated by the Diocese of Fresno. San Joaquin Memorial is so named to honor those men and women from the San Joaquin Valley who gave their lives in the service of their country. San Joaquin Memorial High School was founded in 1945 under the inspiring leadership of the late Reverend Philip G. Scher.
