Tehachapi at Shafter

Running back Phil Rhodes #22 had his first varsity 100 yard game Friday at Shafter as he carried the ball 12 times for 115 yards rushing.
Tehachapi defeated Shafter 28-0 in the opening game of SSL action. The Warriors entertain Bakersfield Christian this Friday night on the mountain.

SHAFTER – Spearheaded by a stifling defense, the Warriors easily dispatched Shafter in a 28-0 shutout victory on the road.

Tehachapi limited the Generals to only 104 yards of offense, registering six sacks, forcing six punts and recording two turnovers.

The Warrior offense was also riding high in the ground game, with Phil Rhodes helping Tehachapi reach the endzone midway through the first quarter with a 52 yard romp up the gut of the Shafter defense.

Jesse Olofson paced the Warriors with 251 yards rushing and two touchdowns, while Travis Farwell also caught a pair of two point pass receptions from quarterback Chris Rush.

Juan Barron was the leading rusher for Shafter with 40 yards on 14 carries, while Ricardo Castro completed three passes for 20 yards.
