SHAFTER -- Tanner Hutchinson ran for 167 yards and scored four first-half touchdowns as the Tehachapi High football team rolled to a 34-7 South Sequoia League win Friday.
The Warriors (4-0 SSL, 6-3 overall) scored on its first five possessions. Hutchinson had touchdown runs of 6, 6, 1 and 57 yards. Jeremy Clark added a 25-yard scoring run before half as Tehachapi led 35-0 at halftime.
Shafter got on the board in the third quarter on a James Zrofsky 50-yard touchdown run. Shafter, however, gained just 56 yards on its other 25 carries. The Warriors outrushed Shafter 362 to 116.
