Head Coach Dennis Ruggles
Head coach Dennis Ruggles came to Tehachapi in 1969 after earning a Masters Degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Ruggles' first assignment with the District was teaching at Jacobsen Junior High School in history and physical education.
Ruggles would go on to be an educator with the District for 37 years, retiring in 2006. In addition to being
a teacher for many years, Ruggles also worked as a counselor for the District.
As the head coach of the varsity football program from 1975-1978, the Warriors went 22-12-3 in four seasons.
After stepping down as the head coach, Ruggles would remain a fixture in Warrior athletics.
Ruggles would coach both boys and girls teams in a variety of different sports.
Related to Warrior football, Ruggles also worked for many years as an assistant coach to Gary Ogilvie
in the early 1970's and later assisted Head Coach Steve Denman in the 1980's,
1990's, and well into the new millennium.
