Rhodes Scores 4 TD's For Tehachapi

ROSAMOND –Phil Rhodes ran wild to open the game for Tehachapi, scoring the first four touchdowns for the Warriors in a 47-0 non-league shutout on the road.

Tehachapi recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff deep in Rosamond territory, and on the first play from scrimmage, Rhodes scored from 29 yards out to help the Warriors set an early tone in the rout.

Rhodes and Marcus Curiel combined for 127 yards in the first half, while Skyler Stephens was the workhorse for Tehachapi with 52 yards on 15 carries.

Other touchdown runs in the ground game for Tehachapi came from Zach Timm, Jorge Garcia and Bobby Cooley.

On defense, Blake Delwisch, Tevin Paykel and Cameron King all had sacks, Travis Farewell and Cory Lange had fumble recoveries, and Brian Castaneda had an interception in the second half.

For Rosamond, Dimitry Mackelrath and Elijah Knod combined for 47 yards rushing to lead the Roadrunners.
