TEHACHAPI – The Warriors got their offense rolling early, scoring on their first five offensive possessions in a 32-6 drubbing over Rosamond on the mountain.
Jesse Olofson rumbled for 50 yards on the ground and three touchdowns before Tehachapi (4-1) called off the dogs at the end of the first quarter, sitting their starters for the remainder of the night.
In the ground game, 13 players rushed for 231 yards in the Warrior wing-t attack. Cal Weeks, Phil Rhodes and Bobby Cooley combined for 122 rushing yards, with Cooley scoring on a five yard jaunt midway through the second quarter.
Chris Rush completed the only pass of the night for the Warriors on a 77 yard scoring strike to Travis Farewell, while Zach Timm had an interception and John Porter a fumble recovery on defense.
For Rosamond (1-4), Curtis McCann scored on an 80 yard run in the fourth quarter, finishing the night with 94 yards on the ground to lead the Roadrunners.
The Warriors begin SSL play Friday night, Oct. 16, at Shafter (1-4).
