Coach Jordan was a graduate of the University of Wyoming, where he also played on the football team as a tailback. Prior to Tehachapi, Jordan was a coach at Elko, Nevada. Coach Jordan was also a World War II veteran serving his country in the US Navy.
Austin Jordan was the Warriors head coach for four seasons from 1957 to 1960. He compiled an overall record of 21-15-1 including a Desert-Inyo League championship in 1960.
Coach Jordan would go on to be the head coach for the Antelope Valley Junior College Marauders in Lancaster from 1963-1967. After his coaching duties, Mr. Jordan remained at AVC for many years as a student counselor.
