Tehachapi Rocks East In Runaway Win

The Tehachapi Warriors picked up their second win of the season in emphatic fashion Friday night, downing East Bakersfield High School 28-7.

The game was played at East High School.

The Warriors are now 2-5 on the season while East is 3-4.

East led 7-6 at halftime, but the final two quarters was all Tehachapi. The Warriors got a 2-yard touchdown run from Chris Garcia, and the ensuing two-point conversion put them ahead 14-7 in the third quarter.

Peyton Stowers interception-return touchdown put Tehachapi ahead 21-6 in the fourth. Garrett Curry’s 12-yard scoring run later in the final quarter blew things open in the Warriors’ favor.

Tehachapi is back in action next week with a home game against Golden Valley. East will hit the road, with a showdown at Ridgeview.
