The Bakersfield Christian Eagles returned to Bakersfield for their home opener and soared again
to move to 2-0 on the season with a 49-7 rout of the Tehachapi Warriors.
BCHS quarterback Lincoln Adame was nearly flawless with a 15-of-18 for 236 yards and four
touchdown passes. Michael Smith (three catches, 96 yards) caught two TD passes and Jason Gutierrez
(four for 74 yards) and Owen Yurosek each had one TD reception.
The Eagles rushed for 101 yards, led by Darriyon Page’s 50 yards and Lee Arnez had a 4-yard
touchdown run. Arnez was also productive on defense, sacking Tehachapi quarterback Colton Michael four times.
Tehachapi’s lone touchdown came in the second quarter.
Tehachapi plays Taft at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
