The 1954-55 Warriors include, front row, left to right, Pete Galan, Alfonso Muro, Billy Escoto, George Cronin, Delmar Green, Don Kennedy,
Manuel Terrazas, Bill White, Ruben Narez, Kenneth Patton, and Lloyd Johnson. Kneeling is head coach John Goodell.

Narez Leads Warriors In Scoring

After two straight losing seasons, the Warriors recovered in 1954-55 to post an overall 10-6 record. In league play, the Warriors finished in 2nd place at 7-3.

Throughout the season, the Warriors were led by their starting five of Al Muro, George Cronin, Lloyd Johnson, Don Kennedy, and Ruben Narez.

In non-league games, the Warriors were 3-3, with impressive wins over Burroughs, Desert, and Trona.

In league play, the North Bakersfield High School Stars finished the season with a perfect 10-0 record, defeating the Warriors twice. Tehachapi finished 2nd at 7-3; Maricopa and Garces were 5-5; Alpaugh was 3-7; and McFarland finished in the cellar at 0-10. North lost in the valley championship playoff game to Laton.

Ruben Narez, a sophomore, led the Warriors in scoring with 272 points and a 17.0 points per game average.
