Drop Contest To League Leading Rams

The Lady Warriors earned their 20th victory of the season this past Tuesday at home with a 41-26 victory over Foothill.

Tehachapi (20-7; 7-3 SEYL) was led in the win by Dani Peacon with nine points, seven steals, five assists and two blocks.

Brooke Boyd, Leja Jakstaite and Shelby Ricker all logged in eight points apiece, with Jakstaite also contributing with eight rebounds and two blocks and Ricker three assists.

Kelsey Vance also had six rebounds and four points and Brandi Davidson had three rebounds and two assists in the win over the Trojans.

In the regular season finale on the road against Garces, the Lady Warriors dropped a 81-23 decision to the Rams.

Boyd finished as the leading scorer in the game with seven points, followed by Daisy Moran with six points and four rebounds, Laney Ricker with five points and Peacon with five assists.

The Lady Warriors will be in action again this Wednesday night, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. vs. No. 13 seed Arvin in the CIF Central Section Division III playoffs. If Tehachapi is victorious, they will move on to face the winner of No. 5 seed Shafter and No. 12 seed Frontier this Friday night, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. in the THS gym.
