Warriors Defeat Yosemite-Oakhurst
In Home Debut, 65-34

The Warriors jumped out to a 40-9 halftime lead en route to a convincing home victory over Yosemite, 65-34.

The game marked the first time that Tehachapi (9-10; 1-1 SEYL) had a home contest this season, with 11 basketball players scoring in the game.

Ryan Flick and Chris Llamas both led the team in scoring with 11 points each, followed by Dalton Scaggs and Jonny Saavedra each with eight points, Isaiah Johnson with seven points and Nathan Hedberg with six points.

Caeleb Roney, Dakota Medovitch, Steven Cross, Andrew Baquerizo and Micah Fjeld all combined for 14 points to round out the rest of the scoring.

The Warriors also started league this past week, dropping a 64-40 decision to East and surging back to win a 76-67 contest over Highland last Friday.

Against Highland, Mountain Basketball had 10 three pointers in the victory, led by Chris Llamas with 20 points and three long distance connections.

Scaggs had 19 points, Saavedra nine points, and Isaiah Johnson eight points, with all players connecting on two three pointers each. Ryan Flick also had 12 points, followed by Caeleb Roney with five points and Dakota Medovitch with four points.

Flick was the high scorer in the loss against East with 10 points. Mountain Basketball will be in action again this Wednesday night at home against North and on the road at Foothill on Friday.
