With a league championship firmly in their sights, Tehachapi continues to hit the mark, highlighted by last week's SSL victories over Taft (47-39) and Arvin (47-32).

Amanda Viseilli had the hot hand against Arvin last Tuesday, finishing 4-4 from three-point range to a game-high 23 points, adding four steals.

"Amanda had a big game for us, she really did a super job," said coach Mark Bennett. "Overall our team did a great job breaking the press, limiting the turnovers. Great job on defense as well."

Bre Farinas contributed to the winning effort with six points, two rebounds and two steals, while Paige Bennett had five rebounds and an assist and Persephonie Devereaux five rebounds and four points in limited action.

"Persie (Devereaux) got into foul trouble early so she probably only was on the floor maybe about 10 minutes of the game total," added Bennett. "But when she was there she made a difference for us. The girls overall did a great job."

Mackenzie Eberle finished with two assists in the contest, while Rachel Duff had three rebounds, Summer Schwecke four rebounds, and AJ Snider two steals. Alyssa Cowee was the leading rebounder with nine, also contributing with three assists, three steals and two blocks.

Last Tuesday, Kayley Duxbury joined Amanda Viselli and Paige Bennett as the high scorers over Taft with eight points each. Bennett also had three assists, three rebounds and three steals, while Sarah Breen had four points and two boards.

Rachel Duff and AJ Snider had five rebounds each, with both players combining for nine points. Mackenzie Eberle also had a strong game, finishing with six points, two assists, and four steals.
