It was not the way Tehachapi wanted to start their 2009-10 season, but the Warriors got their season moving in an 82-53 home defeat to Paraclete last Monday.
Four days later in the Rosamond Tournament, the Warriors were able to avenge the loss against Paraclete with an 82-76 overtime win.
Tehachapi was led in the first game against Paraclete by Jordan Beardsley, who had 18 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and three steals.
Dougan Patience also had a strong game for the Warriors, finishing with 16 points, six rebounds and two assists.
Leading on defense was Robert Siegmund, who finished with seven rebounds and three steals, while Christian Torres has five points and three rebounds and Nick Buttcane six points, a rebound and a block.
Starting off in the Rosamond Tournament, Tehachapi opened with a 2-1 record in their bracket pool, defeating Burroughs-Ridgecrest 53-34 and Paraclete 82-76 in overtime.
Up this week for the Warriors is a home contest against Burroughs, followed by another tournament in Corcoran.
