The 1975 baseball varsity Warriors include, front row, left to right, Alex Steele. Mike Capanas, Jon Morris, Dale Hamon, Mike Palmer, Pat Hawkins, Mark Anthony, and manager Tim Simpson,
back row, Lisa Reger (stats), Joe Mata, Mark Lopez, Jim Barrett, Charlie Longcrier, Scott Dye, Mike Ricker, Mike Thompson, and Susan Dome (stats), and head coach Jake Colburn.
Warriors Capture Share of DIL Crown
First League Title Since 1966
Under coach Jake Colburn, the Warriors captured a share of the DIL championship. The Warriors finished league play with a 7-1
record along with the Desert Scorpions. The one blemish on the Warriors league record was a 4-0 loss to Desert.
In post season CIF play, Tehachapi defeated Buckley 9-4 behind the pitching of Scott Dye and the slugging power
of Jon Morris (1 HR, 3 rbi's) and Mike Ricker (1 HR, 2 rbi's).
In round two of the playoffs, the Warriors lost a heart breaker to LA Baptist, 3-2, in 8 innings. Jim Barrett accounted for all of Tehachapi's runs with 2 homeruns.
All-DIL first team selections included pitcher Scott Dye, infielders Jon Morris and Charlie Longcrier,
outfielders Jim Barrett and Mike Ricker. Catcher Mark Anthony and infielder Mike Thompson were All-DIL second team selections.
