My name is Jessie,I have have been
married to my hubby Bob for 39 years. We
have 2 children & 2 granddaughters.
We live in Groton, South Dakota. We
moved here in Oct. of 96 from Vancouver,
Washington. We all really like the area,even
though it is a little cold & snowy in the
winter.
I like to travel,read,play with my grand
daughters,& chat with all my cyber friends on
the web. I have had the privilege of
meeting some of my chat friends, which was
alot of fun.
My hubby likes to read, fish,& travel
too. He worked for Nabisco in Portland,
Oregon for 40 years before he retired in
March of 96.
Our son Grant who is 29 lives with us.
He is single & works for a car company. His
interests are fishing, music, movies,&
girls(lol). He has a son named Jack ( Jack
is a real nice black lab & border collie
cross).
Our Daughter Vickie, age 31, is now a
single Mom. She works at Ramkota Inn as a
housekeeper. She doesn't like the long drive
into Aberdeen (20 mies) But its a job. She
likes to fish, camp, &
out door activaties when she has time.
Her 2 little girls are Brina age 11 &
Narissa age 7. Brina is our super -hyper kid
with adhd, so she keeps us all on our toes.
Keeps me from getting old. Brina is taking
piano, & is
trying to learn how to play a claranet in
begining
5th grade band. She likes to ice
skate,roller blade & swim. Narissa likes to
play soccer, her Barbies & her fiends. She is
taking piano this year too & loves it. She
also likes to ice skate & roller blade. Both
girls are in the ice carnavel.
Bob & I opened a
bait shop, Its going real well.
We are selling nightcrawlers, minnows,
leeches (yek) & smelt. There is alot of
fishing done in the area. Walleye,Northern
Pike,basses, bullheads, catfish, & alot more.
We have done alot of smoking of different
kinds of fish. All real good. Kids out of
school & doing alot of swimming. Grant &
Brina was in Ariz. for a week visiting
relatives & friends. They loved it except
for the heat. They got to see the Grand
Canyon while there. Well, we all got to go
to Madelyne Island in Lake Superior
Wisconsin. We loved the trees & crystal
clear waters of the lake. The trees reminded
us of Washington State. A very beautiful
place. Poor Grant had to stay home & work.
The Grandkids loved swimming in the water but
found it a little cold. We enjoyed 2 days
there then went to Duluth for over night &
took in the sights of town. Vickie is no
longer working as a waitress. The cafe sold.
WEll, WE ARE partway into the new school year
now and both girls are injoying the 1st & 6th
grades. Both are doing good. Narissa is
taking piano this year along with Brina. Soon
I hope to hear duets. Brina is still
learning claranet in band..Maybe some day
they will be famous.. LOL......Hubby is still
working part time at Wheetco packing bird
seed & daughter is now working as a
housekeeper at Ramkota Inn, in Aberdeen.
Grant is still detailing cars at Trail chevy
& Olds. WE had a real nice cruise & injoyed
every minute of it.. If you have time please
