Mokona
What Animerica says about Mokona:
"The girls also acquire a guide in the form of Mokona, a sort of rabbit-like being that doesn't talk (in a human language, anyway; its conversation is limited mainly to 'Puuu'). But Mokona has magic powers and can be handy to have along on quest (or at least a camping trip). For example, when night falls, Mokona can conjure up a safe and secure and very solid shelter, completely furnished down to soft beds and even nightgowns for the girls. Or, when traveling underwater, Mokona can produced a winged conveyance with an air bubble on top. Unfortunately, Mokona is also whimsical and not very consistent, and Umi complains that things he materializes relatively late in the game should have been produced on earlier occasions when they were also needed."
LaFarga
A great swordsman, formerly of Princess Emeraude's guard but turned into an enemy by Zagato's mind control. Now on the good guys' team again.
Alcyone
Sometimes I wonder about the viewing audience because of Alycone's outfit. She is the main sorceress, one of Guru Clef's students. In the anime, he mentions that he taught her magic so she could protect the princess, not wreak havoc in Cephiro. She disappears in the final battle, but returns in the second season (that's what I call MKR2) in a totally different light. She is in love with the High Priest Zagato
Ascot
Originally a bratty little kid with the power to summon monsters, he has deliberately accelerated his growth so he be on equal footing with Umi.
NEW INFO: He grew to impress Umi. ^.^
Caldina
A dark-skinned dancer with the ability to create illusion. (In the English dub, she speaks in a Southern accent - an attempt to give an equivalent for the Osaka dialect in the original.) Not from Cephiro originally, but from Chizeta.
Lantis
Zagato's younger brother, who looks enough like Zagato that Alcyone is confused. He causes Hikaru confusion, too, but for different reasons.
Primera
A fairy who has attached herself to Lantis despite his seeming indifference to her.
Zagato
The scheming mastermind of the first series who manipulated the secondary villains and try to stop, if not kill, the Magic Knights at every turn. But were his motives truly evil?
NEW INFO: He wanted to kill the Magic Knights to protect Emeraude-hime.
Inouva
There isn't much out about him, but I'll tell you more once I get the information.
NEW INFO: His true form is a wolf, and he is also an original character in the anime. He was not in the manga.
