The Dutch National team won the European Nation Cup in 1988 in Germany with it's superteam formed by stars like Marco van Basten, Ruud Gullit, Frank Rijkaard and Ronald Koeman. In the 1970's the Dutch made it to the World Cup Finals in Germany (1974) and Argentina (1978).
