I don't know how often this flower festival is put on. From what
people are saying it seems as though it's a yearly
event.
The festival itself is on Awaji Island so the sea breeze will keep you
cool on those clear, scorching days. I must say, I had a really good
time looking at all the different species of flowers from the different
countries that had exhibits present. Well, enough talk. Here
are some pictures.

I'm sorry to say I don't know the name of this type of flower but I love the color of it. |

This is the Yagurumaso. A lovely flower that comes in many colors from white, to light purple, blue, etc. Good stuff, huh. |

Rupinas, a strange but undoubtedly beautiful and exotic example of flora. I have a friend who would probably just really appreciate its shape though ^_^x |

I'm sure that most if not all of you out there know of Japan's Bonsai tree's. this was a Gold prize winner at the festival. This Bonsai is a pine tree, can you believe it's this small? I was told it was probably about 100-150 years old. That would explain the white pigment depicted in its trunk. Beautiful. |

Finally we have a picture of a man-made waterfall. One of the Sensei's told me that it might be a recreation of something from Brazil. Shoot, I just thought it looked cool so I took a picture of it. |
