Fun Facts About Our Little Pup

Oh Dear!! Henry has now learned how to jump up onto furniture. We were hoping this day would never come. He can also jump down too. Now we have to really keep an eye on him.

Henry has another new favorite thing to do. He'll climb up onto the sofa, walk up the arms, across the top, down the other arm and then run across the cushions. He'd do this continuously if we didn't stop him. He also has started to sleep on the top of the sofa. It looks cute but it makes me too nervous. Sorry Henry..... that'll have to stop.

His full name is Henry Rupert Hilscher.
He was born on November 27, 1998 in Fairfield, Montana.
Henry currently weighs six pounds and is growing.
His parents are Sire Delldach's Schwarzwald Onyx (Onyx) and Dam Delldach's Fair Sonnenlicht (Sonnet).

Henry was one of the smallest pups born from a huge litter of nine. He has six brothers (four are black & tan ~ two are red) and two sisters (one black & tan ~ one red). Henry is kind of unique in that he has a patch of white on his chest, which has faded with age, and he is now getting a very faint patch of white behind each ear.
There are many things that Henry loves! He loves to eat, anything satisfies him but his favorites are pretzels, peanut butter, cheese and ice cream. We don't give him these treats very often or he'd be huge! He's still happy with his doggy treats of Bil-Jac liver treats, Beggin' Strips, and Science Diet Treats.
Henry loves other things besides food though. He loves to nap, especially in the sun or on our lap. Chewing on his Dentabone and treat stuffed Kong also keeps him happy. His other loves are being outside, cuddling, and giving kisses. Some "naughty" loves are stealing things from the garbage cans, chewing twigs, and picking up stones or rocks.
We've also discovered some things that Henry isn't too fond of. These would include walking through puddles of water, sleeping alone and cats. He also doesn't like red fire hydrants. Everytime he sees one (and it is only the red ones), he growls and barks like crazy.
