Our Engagement
Jennifer and David
August 28, 1999
David asked me to marry him on my birthday. My best friend Joey
took me, David and my friend Crystal to Vegas for the weekend.
We stayed at the Venetian Hotel and we went to the Delmonico
Steakhouse for my birthday dinner. I was just thinking we were
celebrating my birthday. But when I left the table to go to the
ladies room, they cleared away dinner and put dessert at my
place. There was something underneath the napkin. When I sat
down, David took my hand, got down on one knee, and asked me to
marry him. He pulled out a gorgeous 1 carat diamond engagement
ring and put it on my finger. I was so surprised. It was like
a dream come true! I have never been so happy in my entire life.
We have set the date for May 5, 2001. Right now we are trying to
save money and get more settled. David is working full-time security,
and I'm back in college and working two part-time jobs.
