Statement of Purpose:
The curriculum notebook represents the hard work and dedication of many educators of the Creighton School District and the shared vision of Educational Services and teachers. It is a compilation of the Arizona State Standards as defined by the Creighton School District scope and sequence and adopted programs of the Creighton School District. The curriculum notebook is written in the format as defined by Integrated Thematic Instruction Model by Susan Kovalik and Karen Olsen, known in the Creighton School District as "Bodybrain Compatible Education."
The purpose of writing and providing the curriculum for teachers is to provide a framework to make conceptual connection in their daily lessons and how content and basic skills are related and integrated based on real life and "being there experiences."
The curriculum notebook is a work in progress. We welcome and value any suggestions for improvement. It is not meant to be copied or sold by anyone and it is designed to be used specifically by teachers in the Creighton School District. As new programs are amended by the district, changes will be made to align with current practices.
