SPORTS 1999

1. The Winter Volleyball Tournament sponsored by the BFTAMP culminated Late July 1999 with the Tabuk Team declared the Champions.
2. The BFDWU opened the next tournament for summer 1999 with a short program at Caine Road last August 8,1999. 16 teams are participating this time with other teams intending to participate wthin the next few weeks. The BFDWU wishes to thank the sponsorship of 'TINIG FILIPINO MAGAZINE"

BEAUTY PAGEANT 1999

1. The Search for "Ms. Olympian 99" culminated last August 1,1999 at Caritas with the Tabuk Team's candidate winning the coveted title. This is a fundraiser parallel to the BFTAMP volleyball tournament.
2. Search for Ms. Benguet is on - with coronation on August 1999
3. another Search - this time by Kahwa is also planned and will culminate in October 1999
4. and finally, a search for Ms. Cordillera 1999 sponsored by the BFDWU is also ongoing with coronation to be held this November 1999. This search is open to all residents from the Cordilerras. Candidates will be vying for the title " Ms. Glamour Girl" For popularity and " Ms. Cordillera" during the coronation. They will also compete for the best feasibility project - this should be a socio-economic project that would alleviate the economic status of the migrant worker / and or which the migrant worker could benefit from.

CONCERT 1999

1. Finally the planned concert will push through this October 18,1999. This will be held at Caritas Community Hall, No. 2 Caine Road, Central. It will showcase the best/most popular singers/recording artists from Baguio city. They are the Music Magic Band composed of: Cordi's premiere lady singer/songwriter, Ms. Lourdes Fangki, Chad Capuyan of Sagada, Mountain Prov., Jessie Awisan of Bauko, Mt. Prov.,Edward Neil Juan of Tadian and Benguet, Mark ( Pecos) of Ifugao and Benson Vicente Of Benguet.

   Lourdes has been at the forefront of original Cordi singers/music/songwriters for years and is presently working as a radio host. Her program which is aired every morning is currently the most popular in the Baguio/Benguet Area. She is also the Manager of the Music Magic Pub House located at Session Road.

   The boys are so far the best and some of the most popular country singers in Baguio.

   They will be having a country/rock/pop repertoire for the concert.

   all Proceeds from the Concert will be used to fund the ongoing scholarship programs of the BMWG and the community projects of the BBC which is presently being done in Benguet.
