I really didn't know what this F&S item was when I bought it, being made out of wood I knew it couldn't go on the outside of a building. An alert collector told me "It's a mold, you lay it down in soft sand/clay and make an impression that is then filled with bronze." That made sense to me, and after asking around and showing the picture to a few people at the last ECBA show I was able to not only verify that it was a mold, but I located two collectors that have the huge bronze emblem in their collections! One is currently being used as a coffee table! This mold is 26" in diameter and is 2" thick. It is made out of pressed board and strips of oak but the letters are bronze. I have a real challange trying to find the missing "R" and "W", but who knows, maybe one of you can help.
