Master Triani

Triani is retired, although I do bring her back to life now and again when I play Sk'lar. She was my first character on StarStones, and the first apprentice in the Herder Craft there.

Triani was born of Bitra Hold, the first daughter of the Hold's Steward, and her mother, a woman of distant Birtran Holder blood. Three boys and two sisters weree born after her, including Oeno (later to be O'no, Igen Brownrider). Triani was fosterlinged to a woodcrafting hold in the local forest. Her father promised her to the Holder's eldest son, yet Tria would have none of that, because she was in love with a herder apprentice that most believed would not account for much. When push came to shove and Tria's father demanded that she handfast the Holder's son, the 17 and a half turn old girl ran away from home. She took up as an apprentice in the Telgar HerderCraft not only in an effort to hide from the wrath of her father, but also because that lowly herder apprentice that she fell in love with, made her fall in love with herding.

Due to the untimely occurance of a meteor hitting Telgar Hold, the Herder Hall moved to Crom Hold and remains there. It was there that Triani became a Journeyman and later a Master, immediately promoted to the CraftSecond. With the sudden dissappearance of the Craft Master Elorie, Triani has had to take control of the craft. Eventually, it was discovered that Elorie had died, which now left Triani as the Herder's CraftHead at Crom Hold.

Not long after Triani made Journeyman, she was also handfasted to a Crom Hold Runner Breeder by the name of Skylen, and they had five children: Skylar(male), Sliani (female), Taire (female), Tren (male), and Srian (male). Unfortunatly, when Triani reached the age of 28, and was pregnant with Srian, Skylen died from an illness that the local Healers could not cure. A little more than a turn later, her beloved canine who was just a puppy when she joined the Herders, died. With that final hardship, Triani could no longer live at Crom Hold, so she joined up as Telgar Weyr's Weyrherder, to live in a place represnting happier times for her, leaving the Crom Hold Herdercraft in Somina's more than capable hands.
