MHS Class of 1978

Welcome to my page about the McIntosh South Dakota Class of 1978. We were young, full of energy, enthusiastic, and ready to set the world on fire!!! Now it's 40 years later. Did we change the world? You Bet We Did!! Each in our own way but collectively we have had an impact on the world, those around us, and on each other!

Class of 1978 McIntosh High School, McIntosh South Dakota

So what are we all doing today? Most of us have families and children. Some are grandparents. Some live in big cities. Some live in rural America. Some have wandered far from home. Some were content to remain in the general area of McIntosh. From what I have been able to determine, most of us are happy and satisfied with where life has taken us. That is not to say that some of us have not gone through some very difficult and trying times but we have survived. Some have chosen to take what they learned at McIntosh High School, further their education, and enter the teaching field. Some have chosen to enter business fields. Some have chosen to remain in the farming and ranching business. Some have chosen to experience numerous career opportunities. Some have made extremely wise choices at times in their life. Some have made some unwise choices at times in their life. All in all, we have done pretty darn good. Most thankfully, the entire Class of 1978 has lived to see the 25th Anniversary of their High School graduation. We did, very sadly, lose Mervin Hedlin in 2005 at the age of 44, Joseph Running Hawk in 2012, and Kory Farstad in 2017.
